I think he would have beaten Abrahams and I think he would have been a real contender for the title.

Thoughts?

I'm pretty certain he had trouble making 168.

I also think, hittable as he is, that Abraham woulda taken him out.

I can't see a better final that Ward vs Abraham, especially if theyre both still undefeated. If he implements a steady workrate and a good gameplan, I think Dirrell can coast past King Arthur, he just makes too many mistakes IMO and his corner are poor, I see Arthur pushing him towards a big shot and getting him out of there.

Froch is tailor made for Abraham. Comes forward, fairly Ponderous, no defence. Abraham will take Froch out IMO.

I actually see it the other way round.

I think Abrahams is taylor made for Froch. I don't think he will be able to handle the pace that Carl will set. He won't be able to take the breathers that he does on the ropes. Also I have always suspected that the way to get to AA is to nail him to the body hard and often. Carl will do this in a relentless fashion. Ultimately I think Carls size and conditioning will win the fight for him. With a bit of luck AA will beat Dirrell first to give the win more kudos, but I have a funny feeling Dirrell may snatch a points decision.

However you see it these Super6 fights are definately interesting.

Froch will land on Abrahams guard I reckon. At some poit he's gonna overreach or step in whilst holding Abraham round the back of the head, and that's when one of Arthurs deceptively fast bombs is gonna put Frochy out.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a Froch fan, the dirrell-froch post-fight interview proves that much, but Abraham is a bad match-up for The Cobra.

The amount of time, this silly tournament is taking is pathetic...

A couple of injuries and a pullout has obviously effected it but I still think it provides interesting matchups. Plus no bull-shit defences.

Will, agree with you 100% regarding the Super Six. I'd have preferred Bika but if Allan Green gives it a go he'll at least make it interesting. Ward vs Dirrell down the line is intriguing as well.

Man Pascal :patsch How overrated can this guy get. He's a great athlete he's not a great boxer. Being outboxed by Froch is not some great achievement like people make out.

What's going on with the payout on the Wlad fight last night?

Only the threadstarter or a Mod (boxing girl) can do it.

To be honest I'm more excited by AA against Dirrell. I'm yet to be convinced by both so it will be very interesting to see which way it goes and I will be keeping my money in my pocket.

I personally think Pascal has shown improvement since he moved up. Whilst Diaconu was decent rather than World class Pascal has at least fought consistently and performed cosistently over the last year.

I think Abraham is gonna get to Dirrell at about the 9th. It's gonna be hellacious when he gets there, poor Dirrell.

I'm never listening to your picks again mate.

There was a price on your head in Nottingham after telling the world and his wife that Froch would put Dirrell away within 3.

Wonder how much the bookies made :think

Dirrell/AA is real tough to call. Dirrell could make him look a fool in there. It's a question of whether he can do it for 12 rounds without making any big mistakes.

The funny thing about this thread is Taylor did a lot better against Froch than Pascal. Just because he got knocked out doesn't erase that. Taylor was dominant in the fight with Froch for 6 or 7 rounds and was probably winning going into the last on mine. Pascal was never dominant against Froch, it was back and forth and then Froch got to work with the jab and established control of the fight running out a relatively close but clear winner.
