Anyone think Marsh can upset Matthews, I think Derry is too strong for Matthew and may even stop him, cannot see Marsh keeping enough distance to box and not sure he is strong enough inside to cope with the scouser.

Isaac Ward seem to have a toughie on Friday against Laryea the guy who fought Nicky Cook a few years ago, decent enough scrap though

Anyone got any views on the above two fights

Agree with you about the matthews/marsh fight think matthews will be too strong also think matthews experience will tell too come a bit early for marsh for me but who knows stranger things have happened. wouldnt be suprised though if if the decision has already been decided as happened to someone i know against matthews give u a guess hes the guy on the left in my aviatar but aint going into that debate again!

See from FWTV that Matthews wants to fight Khan!

Hes quoted as saying hes got no problem going up to Lightweight to take Khan on.

Acknowledges Khans a great fighter but says he would hit him the hardest he has ever been hit and end his unbeaten record.

Shit I was thinking I was missing something and didn't realise Ward was on.You didn't miss much, Ward got easily taken apart. He came out throwing punches like he was some kind of big hitter, and got used for target practice. When he got asked afterwards if he got beat by the better man, he sid "No, not really", and came out with some excuses.
To be honest the whole affair made poor viewing, and I think Sky needs to buck their ideas up a bit.

i think the term "in over your head" could have been invented for ward in this one.i noticed as early as the 1st minute that he was in trouble with the body shots although the commentators didn't seem to pick up on it until late in the 2nd.he was way out of his depth in all departments but showed good bravery.

Power was full of excuses when Munyai beat him too.

I never saw someone as out of their dept as Ward was, he was leading with his face and upperbody..that was his main attack option

Ward was poor but only foughth one handed, why?He said he had an arm injury. He would've won easily if it wasn't for that.

Because he was the the commonwealth champion and in against a very good challenger .

The undercard was very good too .

Marc Callaghan v Rendall Munroe-English Super-Bantamweight title
Marcus Portman v Jozsef Matolcsi-WBF Light-Middleweight title

Also including World class prospects Grzegorz Proska and Paul Appleby, and other prospects Paul Truscott , David Dolan , Prince Arron , James McElvaney , Scott Sandmann .

I already know the result of Peter v McCline and how things went down(and so do a lot of boxing fans) why would I want Sky to show that instead of live domestic boxing of good quality. Especially considering it would take much more of their budget than that Live show would of .

Im a bit pissed just now, as I have been in my pals house all day watching the Scotland v Ukraine match, & of course the boxing. The reason I am telling you this is cos I caught the heavyweight fight, & I cant remember there fuckin names at the moment as I am too pissed:lol:

******s heavyweight prospect won, but his journeyman opponent put him down with a nice jab early in the fight...

Fuck, just remembered, it was Sam Sexton vs Luke Simpkin:good But i cant be arsed re-doing the post:D

& Ricky Burns stopped Bonifai in the 5th round, Bonifai took a few heavy shots at the end, but the ref was poorly placed & the journeyman took a few shots more than he should have before the ref who in all fairness was inexperienced according to Rawling, jumped in & waved it off.

Then I had to come home for some grub, so miseed the rest of the card sadly enough...
