How fast and far do you guys run your roadwork? I go about 7-9 mph and run anywhere from 2-4 miles (i change it up on different days). I know if I ran a little slower i could go ALOT farther but I think maybe that's not what I should train for. I'm planning on fighting amatuer so would longer distance running help me or should i just stick to what i've been doing?

It's all about the intensity. I'd rather be able to run 2 miles in under 10 mins than run 3 miles in 30.

When you're doin roadwork, it's all about keepin your legs movin. Run for about 30 to 35 minutes.

You'll improve gradually.

Now, I'm not saying not to do sprints and intervals, but that's another subject. I'm talking about straight up, distance roadwork.

30-35 minutes.

Yup;where I run, going down and back takes about that long...

Ok so when distance running the main element is to maintain a decent pace for at least 30-35 minutes, right?

Relentless
