Thought this was an interesting comment from the Legendary trainer (on the on the ropes radio show).

It's nice to hear someone give a balanced view on a fight even when he has an interest in one of the fighters.

Very honest of Stweard but fairly obvious

Add to that all the others who fought the Klits recently. Sam Peter and Thomson and Igbraminov.

'OMG we had to punch back? That's all? DOH'

Steward is just stating the obvious, any HW with good power could, it's catching him that's the problem.

I'd bet Manny wouldn't make the same statement regarding Vitali though.

No he probably wouldn't but I was just saying it's nice to get a balanced viewpoint from a fighters trainer. Rather than the usual he could only win with a lucky punch rubbish.

Just making the point that it's nice to get a balanced statement from the trainer of a fighter. Even if it is obvious to the rest of us.

True, let's Wlads fans know he's not as invincible as they make him out to be.

Could happen. but the opposite is far more likely to happen.

I know. I was just making the comment that it was right.

Sounds like a bit of early fight build up to be, the making of the fight seem more of a 50/50 one than it ever is - that Haye has more than a small to very small chance.

Stewart seemed very/strangely desperate for Wlad to put on a show in his last fight, get the KO, there was no boxing need for him to knock Chambers out - his ripping into Wlad in the corner, was all about future Wlad sales and was not the sort of go he had at Lewis about getting Tyson out of there (which had a boxing angle).

I'd say the wheels have started turning for a match up.

Manny was just talking the fight up. I thought he was quite dismissive of Haye tbh.

No offence but that was a "No shit, Sherlock" type comment from Manny.

Shame Haye would get caught first really.

Haye is Steward's type of fighter. He is being honest Vladimir will need to fight to stand a chance of keeping Haye off him. This type of fight is kill or getting killed.

If he didn't train Wlad I think he would like to train Haye. Steward loves tall, rangey, fast, hard hitting fighters.

Steward is such a prima donna. Thanks Manny, but i think we've figured that out for ourselves you attention whore. Respect him as a trainer for the right style, but what a little spotlight bitch this has-been is; never liked him and never will for crap like this by insulting the intelligence of true boxing fans and not these new age mma'ers that don't know a ko from a tko.

'If' is the word tht sums up the entire fight in my opinion with regards to Hayes power. I'm scepticl about the so called 'Tyson approach' gameplan he had for his fight with him last time. He ain't got the hed movement that Tyson had which would of enabled him to deal with Wladdy pretty easily I think. Haye don't have the abilty to come forwrd constantly without getting hit clean like that.

That being said, I still think Haye has a fantastic chance of beating either Klitschko if he just uses the things he's good at, like his speed, movement and angles. He can be dangerous on the inside against them but only when he picks his moments like when he hurt Valuev with left hook up close in the last round.... but speed, movement nd angles are the way for this one I think.
