this was just the other night on the undercard of Pacquiao/Barrera II and this was a war. I think definitely one of the best and most fun fights ive seen all year. I dont know who was ranting and raving about Melendez/Montiel but that wasnt even as good as Pavlik/Taylor.

This year has been nuts, so many FOTY cadidates. ITs definitely been the best year for boxing in a very long time. UFC is just what boxing needed because now boxing is forced to put on the best fights and the fans greatly appreciate it.

There were some fireworks early with Andrade hitting the deck, but Mack tiring out and then quitting mid fight kind of ruined it for me.

Give me Taylor-Pavlik so far as FOTY.

Hope he either improves or gets some really good paying top level fights soon, because he won't be around much longer with his style.:yep

I hope he ends up all right when it's all done, guy has a steel chin, but nobody needs to eat shots like that.

That was pretty sloppy too. Pavlik's a bit sloppy and Taylor's flawed to hell with little smooth fluidity, I only enjoyed seeing the overrated Taylor finally removed by a B level Pavlik.:yep

It's not like Andrade wouldn't have gotten Taylor either.:yep

That guy is fucking tough. Haven't seen the fight my self (where can I see it). I guess that Mack must have got him cold chinned in the first round? - I thought it was impossible to drop Andrade after the Kessler/Andrade fight.

so what taylor=pavlik was sloppy, it was exciting as all hell. both men hitting the deck, for a world championship, very dramatic and fun stuff.

Yes it was sloppy, but it was still a world class boxing match.

And no, Andrade doesn't beat either guy by any stretch of the imagination. :nono

The odds on this match were so nice.. -160 for Andrade to win and +110 for it to go under 9.5 rounds. On bodog it went from -160 to -290 within an hour so they realized that they created a dumb line. After the 2nd or 3rd round where Mack started fighting Andrade's fight, I knew he would be stopped within a few rounds. The guy has horrible stamina and he was up against a fighting machine. The HBO made a good point when they said that Mack's KD in the first round actually benefited Andrade because it gave Mack more confidence in fighting on the inside and throwing a ton of punches thinking he could KD him again and stop him. In one of the early-middle rounds Andrade threw 136 punches! The guy has no defense and average technique, but his titanium chin and nonstop pressure are dangerous to many pretty good fighters.

Pavlik is not B level and it wasn't that sloppy.

A level is Dawson, Kessler, Calzaghe etc.

Is Pavlik on that level? Not even close, more flawed than all of them.

how the hell is andrade dirty...he's one of the classiest fighters of today....

and because it was basically a slugfest, you call it sloppy and choose not to call it one of the FOTY....

In the last fight, he was throwing low blows and head butts like it was his business. He got warned like 4 times.

when you say dirty...i think of casamayor, bhop , pantera etc etc.....but not andrade..

Pavlik B level???? please STFU. . . his Defense may not be great but overall he is clearly A level.
