Morrisey is an original Pac supporter in this thread.
He supports Pac, but realizes that there's some flaws to his game that can get him beat, and at the same end respects those fighters who have legit skills to trouble Pac.

You know, the Pac nutswinging team has come out in full force pointing out who the best Pac fan is......
.....I dont believe this thread was started for that purpose.
The thread title reads, " What Pac supporter is the best poster on this board......which imo comes to mean who among the Pac fans has a better and realistic view in his posting of Pac and other fighters.
Believe me, one that would continually state that Pac would stop Godzilla, or that Pac would KO every great of the past, is not the best poster in regards to his support of Pac.
It would only make him the best cheerleader!

KG is pretty objective.
Most Pacfans consider me a hater, though Pacman is my 3rd favorite fighter right now (Jones, Cotto, then Pacman....and lets face it, Jones is on the way out).
I am not however a fan of extremism which I believe is shown by many of Pacman's Pinoy fans, because he is from their homeland and I understand that. I feel it only hurts their case when defending him in realistic matchups, fantasy or otherwise, so I disagree with them alot, especially PacD, who knows more about Pacman than anybody.
Long story short, most don't like me very much....and typically they only respond to posts where I disagree with them, never to ones where I am defending or praising him. It's the ESB way....

Most Pac fans NOT posting on boxing forums dont hype up Manny too much.
I for one, thought his manager was nuts, letting him face a natural 122 lbs Ledwaba on 2 weeks notice, and to go up a class (literally and figuratively) to face a 126lbs P4Pounder MAB, and to go up again to 130lbs to face El Terrible. Manny proved me wrong, he's just a little brown warrior.
I assure you 99% of pinoys dont think Manny KO1 Godzilla.

I said very earlier in the thread that for a Pac fan, Morrisey is an exellent poster, and he posts on a variety of topics besides Pac threads.
Early on Morrisey was a blind Pac loyalist, but he's come to see the light and become more a boxing fan and is now of the understanding that Pac would'nt have a chance vs Godzilla!:D
Patsy's I would say is a very knowleadgeable poster around here, but his flaw is that his bias clouds his opinions more to the extreme than what a normal knowleadgeable poster might.
If I'm not mistaken, Patsy's feels that JMM has'nt earned a rematch with Manny Pac, and is of the belief that he'd have to virtually wipe away the 130 lbs division before earning a shot at Pac.
You have a Pac fan who feels JMM has'nt fought anyone to deserve a shot at Pac, now thats a poster who's living in fear of a JMM-Pac matchup.
Patsy's, we cant have JMM fighting Guzman, Valero, and Soto and wiping away the division to get to Pac.....by that time JMM would be on the other side of his mid thirties, and a Pac victory would be meaningless to everyone but the Pac swingers!

I'm on the same boat that you are. Quite frankly, theres quite a few posters who are.
Anybody who would point to a flaw in Pac's arsenal, although at the same time pointing out that even with those flaws, Pac would be a hard beat....we'd be considered haters by the Pac extremist! :nut
....but like yourself, I understand that the Pinoy fan is going to love Pac no matter what, and turn a blind eye to the flaws that could get him beat!
It's only natural, and comes to easy for a Filipino to blindly rate Pac the way they do.
I've said on numerous occasions to them, enjoy him now, cause every fighter who sticks around long enough, will come crashing down!
I'm not a Filipino, and I enjoy Pac fights immensely, I think that makes me a Pac fan!:yep

Know this though..PAC is different..we can have a flip fighter greater than PAc in two years (and theres alot on the way) Viloria is already getting his ass kicked by 15 year olds back home . But they would never get the adulation that PACs been getting, not even close

I'm with you on this one......
......I thought that MAB would want to fight at a slow and conservative pace to conserve energy for the later rounds.
This fight was fought at nowhere near the pace that Marco fought JMM. You would think that he would have had quite a bit left to finish at the pace that they fough in.
I would have never thought that MAB would want to just cross the finish line in a fight he knew he was losing, especially knowing there was still some energy in the tank for him to spend.
Even more suprising was MAB's announcement afterward that he had proved the so called experts wrong and did'nt get dusted in the fashion that many had predicted.
I thought that was shameless coming from a fighter who is known and respected for being a Warrior.
JMM got sideswiped and the Pac fight was given to MAB who walked away with millions, and not so much as came close to giving it a full effort!
Hey Morrissey, I had the fight even after 6 rounds, giving Marco rounds 1, 5, and 6, and the rest to Pac.
After the 6th Pac started to time and start hitting MAB alot more cleaner, and essentially, Barrera really stopped trying once this happened.
Its a pity MAB did'nt elect to lay it on the line in the late rounds once he knew he was well behind on the cards.
Out of curiousity, how did you score the fight?

I will tell you my scores later in the day, as I have to go to work now, but I have to admit, and also to give you an idea, I was nervous as hell during the first 6 rounds, when Pac can not seemed to unload his usual flurries out there..

BUT he did not spend those energies in the later rounds. He was on his shells for almost every minute of the fight. My brother and I thought the same thing, but MAB had another idea in mind, unfortunately.

I had it 9-3 for Pac and I am being too kind for MAB with that score. MAB IMO won rounds 3,4 and one between 6 to 10.
The problem I had was with the early rounds becasue it seems MAB was being effective in neutralizing Pac's offense, and looks like he was on his way to a decision but then after round 6, it became apparent that he won't further up his attack mode, which only caused him to lose rounds after rounds.
If you look at it, it also resembled his fight with JMM. The early parts were very competitive, then the midrounds, his opponents showed aggresiveness, and he did not respond, and the latter rounds, it was clear who was winning the fight.

I had it 12-0. The one round which most wanted to give to MAB is more out of kindness than anything else knowing it wont have much affect on the winner. Had the fight been close and that round sway the winner, people would not be giving it to MAB. The 5th for example could be said for MAB but Pac clearly landed more that round and came back towards the end landing a series of lefts to counter the beating he got from the ropes mid-round. The rest of the rounds MAB just didnt mount enough offense to win the round, Pac was landing more and cleaner aswell as being the aggresive one. If 2 fighters land the same amount of punches per round, equally as clean, the point should go to the aggressor. I believe effective aggresion is one of the criterias judges score on. MAB had none of that.

I can understand you with that kind of score, since MAB practically fought just to avoid being KD. And I would not be surprised if other posters have similar scores.
I think that was MAB's mission even before the fight. Not to get entangled with Pac's punches. Oscar even commented that MAB respected PAc's power too much that he did not come out of his shell even if there were lots of good chances to attack him.
We can argue that that was the lamest stance of MAB for a fight in over 60 fights.

I only know the ones posting here....they are who I am referring to. The only other Filipino I know is marrying my younger sister in December and doesn't even know who Pacman is.....which I found odd, but to each his own right?

Doubtful....he is a doctor and doesn't care about sports, nor is he from the Phillipines. He simply doesn't care about Pacman or any other boxer.

Funny that you quote DLH for MAB not coming out of his shell.....
......Barrera in a spanish newspaper was quoted as saying that his Mexican machismo came out too much and that he should'nt have gotten into as many exchanges as he did with Pacquiao! :patsch
