What really makes you think that Williams is going to beat Margarito anyways? we have no proof of their rumored sparring sessions, the only other reason you would think that is if your a Hater of Tony, other than that most logical posters here know good and well that Williams hasnt proven himself good enough to get the job done yet, this might be his night though nobody is saying he cant step up to the plate but its very un likely that he will, he has not fought anybody yet.

First of all just becuase the way he looks that doesnt mean he is going to beat Tony, just because of what you hear from goosen that dont mean shit either.
Tony has been undefeated at Welter Weight for more than a decade, and has been highley avoided by all the best in the divison, this fight will be the 18th title defense that speaks Volumes considering not many champions hold on to their title that long.
I am sorry but Tony has wins over Current IBF Champ Kermit Cintron, over Joshua Clottey, Antonio Diaz, and Six heads Lewis.
The only big name that is on the resume of Williams is against a well aged over matched past his prime Sharmba Mitchell who only had one fight at Welter Weight prior to fighting Paul and that was against Mayweather.
if your going to pick a winner in this fight using logic then you would end up chosing Margarito, but to think another man is going to win just because of the way one guy looks or sounds, or to think he will win becuase your sick of hearing about Margarito, well let me put it to you this way, I hope you dont gamble.:good

just wondering how excited everyone is gonna be when paul williams kicks margaritos ass in a couple weeks and gets rid of him for us....Ill be very happy, im sick of Margaritos shit talking, but i want him to have one more fight before he gets out, Joshua Clottey 2 so Joshua Clottey can beat his ass again...Margarito just talks himself up..

HEY...Clottey beat his ass till he pulled a Floyd trademark "my hands hurt"...But i do think he could beat Marg if they fought a 2nd time, or the fight would be a lot closer at least.

Honestly though man, i hate him and Floyd....People from 140-154 i like are Ricky Hatton, Shane Mosley, Andre Berto,..That really it, but i have nothing against Miguel Cotto, Collazo, Cintron.....

I dont Like Paul Williams, Malignaggi, and of course i dont like Cory Spinks.

AM is too cocky, actually i have nothing against PW, hes a cool guy, only seen one fight (Pakau) and i think he could use his hieght advantages better than he does, thats all.

Don't sleep on Margo. He's a 12 round power with his mind and heart. Let's see about Williams when the bombs keep coming. I'm intrigued. The co-ordination, balance, defence etc are things I think Margo can exploit.

Don't get it twisted Williams boxing can have Margo playing catch up.

It's a top fight. 50-50.

Ive seen on interviews where AM sayas he doesnt want to talk too much trash, prefers to do his talking in the ring.

I wouldnt say PW has "no skill". He is the slickest of boxers but if beating up your opponant is a skill, then he has skill.

Paul Williams is a good puncher though...But i just think with his height hed be better to just use a hard jab and wait for the right time to launch a straight left...But since hes southpaw hes got that natural slickness which makes him ok at fighting on the inside...That and his power of course.

nothing wrong with calling out another fighter in or above your own division if you actually want to fight him.

Fraud called Winky out when he had no intention of actually fighting him. I have no doubt that AM would eagerly get in the ring with Fraud.

Ive never heard of AM talking shiit about another fighter other than Fraud. . . for well, being a Fraud. . . and PW for all the sparring session talk.

Well, I'm a fan of Floyd, or "Fraud" as some like to call him, and I never really felt one way or the other about Margarito. He's a slow but tough fighter with an excellent workrate and is also tall and rangy for a welterweight. He's pretty fun to watch for his workrate and I think this fight has true FOTY potential.

I actually think Paul Williams provides more problems to Mayweather than Margarito does, but I'm not sure if Williams gets past Margarito. Styles thing.

It's weak from a fan's perspective that he wants the big payday for someone he already beat more than anything else, but I don't really take all this trash talk and "I won't fight a sparring partner like Shane" stuff seriously. Just like I don't get overly excited because Hatton and Mayweather talk about fighting each other.

When the real talk begins, at the negotiating table, then I'll care more.

Now it sounds like just more posturing and trash talk.

Just like the guys he just beat in Oscar, I rarely take anything Mayweather says too seriously.

Clottey lost to Margarito fair and square, but I think he takes it in a rematch.

wat the fuck are you talking about guy. i don't like ffloyd at all but i'm sorry margo wouldn't have a chance against floyd. he is too slow, too weak of a puncher. yes he does punch a lot but ffloyd knows how to take away a mans punches.. margo doesnt have timing he's a pressure fighter.

margo has also been hit a lot of times and will be looking old in his next fight when he loses.
the best matchup style wise to give FMJ problems is a pressure fighter. . . think a prime JLC . . . a 5'11" prime JLC type.

I know that there aren't many people who like Margarito but i think Paul Williams is awful.. His fight with Santos pakau was a study in how to showcase yourself out of a top line fight.. Williams has all of the tools but can't quite put them together....... Punisher.. he certainly punished his reputation on that night........

I dont think so. . . FMJ is good at holding too. . . he would hold both Hattons arms and force the ref to break them up. Plus he has that sneaky elbow in clenches.

AM has the reach and workrate to apply effective pressure.

I like both fighters (although i like Williams a lot more).
But, Williams takes punches he shouldn't take. and look at the records of the guys he has fought...not exactly elite fighters here. On the other hand he has a HUGE reach and could really pose problems for Margo.
Prediction: i've gone back and forth on this one but for now i am picking Williams to win a decision.

yeah i am not embarassed when i am wrong and i am not as sure of this as my original post may have made it seem, i just wanted to stir up some emotions......i do believe that pw is a future superstar and will beat margo but honestly this fight can go either way in my eyes........and as for the guy saying that everyone here is just a "
fraud" fan, i am not so sure there are so many of his fans posting on this thread, i for one am not a fan of mayweathers but i am sure he would kick margaritos ass. just get over the idea that mayweather is ducking everyone bc he is afraid of losing to them.....
