Give me a break down on how you think a fight between these two would go down. Would Joe be able to deal with Johnson's relentless pressure?

Glencoff is one of my favorite fighters but I dont think he has the tools to take Joe.

Crucially he lacks one punch knockout power, which would otherwise be his best hope. Still he pushes Joe the 12 and makes it a WAR.

Joe too slick UD

Johnson is made for Joe. Joe will outbox him at 168, or 175.
Not a hard fight to pick, though depending on Joe's mindset, it could get somewhat close.

A few years ago if they fought at 175 I would almost be brave enough to pick Johnson. He seemed to get better at 175, definitely hitting harder. And once he got some wins and stopped being a journeyman he hit some real form, and seemed to reach his potential.
I thought he would just upset the shit out of Joe on the inside and catch him with that loopy right enough.

But after I saw that Joe hadnt gone stale from fighting a low level of opposition, after he best up Lacy, I couldnt really see Glenn having the enough his arsenal.
He aint the hardest the solve, though he very effective with his limited kit of punches, Joe could handle it.

Wasnt that fight made a few times??

The weight will mean nothing in this matchup, especially since Glen doesn't have a lot of power and he's small compared to other top LHWs. I think Calzaghe is even taller than him. Johnson matches up best with ordinary standup fighters and he beats them by simply outworking them and sticking well to a basic gameplan for 12 rounds. Calzaghe is about as far from ordinary as one can get. He would frustrate the hell out of Glen and ruin any plan he would try to follow. Very wide UD for Calzaghe.

Calzaghe wide UD, Johnson wins some rounds unlike lacy due to activity alone, but he is taylor-made for Calzaghe stylewise (come-forward plodding type fighter).

I like Johnson but he doesn't move well enough against Calzaghe. Joe's far too slick for someone as crude as Johnson.

This would be a mismatch If Johnson fights the way he fought Woods In the 3rd fight.

Agree, Johnson didn't seem to maintain the pace that day. I doubt Calzaghe would slow down.

The only way I could see Calzaghe losing is if Johnson does what Bika did and get Calzaghe angry. When he loses his cool he starts slugging and I reckon Johnson could catch him badly.

I don't know if you look at Joe's fight w/Bika I just can't see Joe keep Glen off him ..Though I personally think Joe could out box Glen its easier said than done .
