How would the legendary Monzon do against a seasoned Roy Jones at SMW?

I really can't see a scenario where RJJ loses...:think

Monzon definately has a punchers chance but I really like a prime JOnes as Roy was simply too fast and hit too hard ...

Well, Monzon never fought there, so itīs hard to judge. I guess Jones wins an UD. Monzon has a solid chance I think.

Jones, wide. Monzon's probably clever enough to avoid getting stopped, but if he pressures Roy it will happen.

This is one of the rare examples where a single weight class move would make a big difference.
160 was Monzon's house, and it was also a weight where I don't think Roy had yet reached his absolute peak.
At 160, I'd favour Monzon's authority and experience.
At 168, different story. 8lbs of solid muscle and a little more seasoning improves Jones, a jump to unchartered territory and a little sacrificing of his physical advantages slightly depletes Monzon.
Jones UD, though he may have to get off the canvas and actually fight off the backfoot for a spell to get there.

Neither can I. The speed of Roy is analogous to the Lakers' fast break back during the Showtime years. How can you stop it?
The one thing that goes right for Monzon is when the fight ends.

Good post, exactly what I am thinking.

I'd favour Jones over Monzon at 160 also.
