I've seen maybe 5 or 6 of his fights, including his pro debut. Dude seems to be the goods, and is one of my top prospects. He's a southpaw with very good power and decent handspeed. I think he's handled by the same people who brought Vargas up, and you can definitely see the similarities (even had the trademark Vargas cut when I saw him debut), though he's southpaw and a lot more poised (think Cotto) than Vargas. He's only 20 and hasn't really been tested, though. So I'm looking forward to him stepping up the competition soon (something he won't be doing this Friday when he headlines on Telefutura).

Also trying to get my hands on his last fight, which was on the Pacquaio-Soto undercard. From what I hear it was a war, with both fighters going down (though I heard the Ortiz knockdown was a flash knockdown).

Francisco Bojado would kill him.

Ortiz is good but he's far from amazing and he's not special either..

He's not better than Bojado or Jorge Paez Jr.

:rofl Paez Jr? The same Jorge Paez who just got stretched by a journeyman, and nearly KO'd a few fights before that? Please.

As far as Bojado goes...I wouldn't say he will kill Ortiz. But at this point in his career, it's too early for Ortiz to take that fight.
