but I want some more views, ratings and comments on my vids. I have been boxing for 8 months and a group of people got together and box... every once in a while. ESB have a lot of knowledable people so I like to hear some of the Pros and Cons of my sparring clip. Also suscribe to my account to see some cool clips!

Does that guy in the blue think he's Floyd Mayeather or something? At about 28 secs into the vid he starts doing some poor mans half guard defence  .
On a serios note if you guys actually want to box then you should find a boxing gym, there are alot of things you can work on.
why do you have Floyd castillo oscar hatton cotto shane roy jones ali leonard boxing mma ufc pride fighting punching zab in your video description and video tags?

The pro's your still young so a proper boxing trainer could show you how to box, and not slap like a fairy,
the cons, have you not watched the video yourself, if you think any of that was boxing i suspect you need to have another look.

If you posted a video of you showing some talent for boxing then you would get at least a good response from some people but m8 that was terrible. The guy in blue tried some kind of backhand shot what the hell was that about.

Come on m8 that was bad and you expect anyone to praise you, get down to a real boxing gym and you will see how bad it was, then post a video of yourself with some actual boxing training and you might get praise.

Wow you should not be a trainer. There is two ways to approach people. 1) to be an asshole or 2) constructive critism. I did went to a gym but they do 40-50 percent sparring is in my youtube account if you want to see. If you think this is ugly you should see when I first started. heh

Yes but if you post in the gerneral forum and not training and you said yourself you did it for attention don't expect people to be nice. I watched the whole video, for a start your not roy jones jr or floyd maywether so keep your gurd up, don't keep dropping your hand as your not quick enough to avoid a counter(not meant as an insult), also when you punch don't leave your chin wide open, turn into the punch so that your shoulder at least covers your chin. Also use your back foot to push yourself forwards for an attack and your front foot to move yourself backwards otherwise you will just get mixed up in your footwork. You lso seem to slap alot of your shots making them arm shots instead of full punch's.

Yea... someone told about the training forum... and I move my crap to over there for training related stuff. I'm just trying new things cus that guy was bummy. Not claiming i am roy jones but i did slip a lot of that guy's shots from half guard. I went back to conventional defense if I see a potential threat... He didn't force me to put 100% effort bc he can't take a hit.

DUDE,
here is the real deal and i have been boxing since i was 18 and now i am 26...
i quit boxing to work on wall street.......
one cannot determine how much potential you have from this video becuase you guys were fighitng at half speed and not throwing real punches.
BUt i disagree with 90% of the posters, i did see a few good things.
You are pretty much as green as it gets, no experience and the fact that you are trying to at least go thru the motins of how to angle in your punches and when to block - this is a very good sign that when u get some real training that you will pick up on stuff quickly....
it is a fact, that the best fighters are those than can teach themselves......

Yes but your not exactly prince naz either and when he came up against a decent boxer doing the stuff you think is ok got him his first loss, get your basic's upto scratch before you try to be fancy. I am not trying to be harsh but if you want to get better don't start doing stuff that isn't sensible.

EXACTLY the same thing I was thinking. He was trying to fight like Floyd. It's Floyd vs. Winky. The guy in the blue fights with a Floyd defense and the guy in the white loves to jab out in Southpaw stance.

Thanks a lot for the comment. I know where I stand. Finally there is someone who sees that I put effort in trying to slip punches, parrying, catch and shoot, and timed counters. When I watched myself I saw a lot of flaws.. but mainly bc I am still green and inexperienced. When I saw my opponent fold like he did I pull back on some of the obvious shots, I didn't want to hurt him bc that was not my purpose. I just want someone to force me to apply some skills.

Ok Hotti, you wanna know why I tried to do philly shell? I am light weight so is hard to find people near my weight to spar... I am often thrown in there with middle weights and up. and they always broke thur my guard when I blocked conventional and get beat up with my own gloves. They were simply too heavy. So I tried philly shell. It was taught to me by some amatuer boxer.... 5 months ago and I have lots of success in blocking shots from my shoulders and sneak some uppercuts in and run away. So sometimes I pull it out on right hand friendly folkes to intice them to come in so i can hit him with hooks and uppercuts. Obviously... saying and doing is two different things... but that is why.

No, what you need to do is shadow box and use a heavybag. Learn how to punch before you spar. You're going to be slaughtered if you spar with anyone worth sparring with. Sparring with the guy you're sparring with is pointless.
You also seem weak in general, which is probably why a lot of your punches are crooked or arm punches or just not delivered properly. Start doing push-ups, sit-ups, chin-ups, etc.. You need to get in shape.
Punch the heavy bag properly and learn how to do that sort of thing. Until you do, sparring is just going to leave you damaged.

I think you would make a great tomato can. Call Amare Khan right away. He'll give you a match in a heartbeat.
He may ask you some questions involving your punching power beforehand though. Make sure that you are honest, or he may cancel the bout.

No offense, but you're just not meant for boxing. I was a hundred times better without any training. I got thrown in with a pro my first time ever to a gym to spar with and I gave him hell and even cut his eye. I'm very athletic though and have always been very competitive with confidence in whatever I'm trying to do. I didn't spar the pro thinkin "OMG. He's gonna beat my ass.", I sparred him thinking "He's just a human being with a chin to be hit.".

Damn right heh heh. Sticks and stones... I thought I am did pretty good for 8 months... i guess people were expecting a mayweather like performance.
I'm no expert, and you could both be better than I ever was, or worse, who knows? Still, it looks like a good old spar, and I'm rather envious... I haven't sparred in years. I offer my opinion as just that, an inexpert opinion.
I think the dude in white needs to make his guard protect himself, rather than just holding his hands together in front of him. He gets caught repeatedly to the head with shots he ought at least to be blunting. He also wastes too much energy, bouncing up and down: I notice this perhaps because I did it too when I boxed, and it was a terrible weakness.
The guy in blue is better at conserving his energy, and better overall, but his jab is very slow and needs to be straighter and faster. He also leaves himself open to the body with his elbows very wide apart.
