Pretty chicken shit, if you ask me. But then again, Ruiz makes anybody look bad, so you almost can't blame him.

The Belarussian, not the Russian, does not fear Ruiz. He is much more powerful than Ruiz. But I am surprised that he hasnt yet fought ever since the loss to Brewster

Im surprised Ruiz had the nerve to even say that. Ruiz might have defenders but has no fans. Nobody can stand him. Is there another blown up MW that can go up in weight and shut Ruiz up again?

Maybe getting knocked out of the ring by Briggs has made Sergei more gunshy than we thought. I would have thought he would jump at the chance to fight Ruiz.

Usually when a fighter experiences a tramatic knockdown or beating, there never the same again. If I was Sergei I would of set up a match 3 months after the Briggs fight to not let him dwell on what happend, it would force him to put all his thoughts and efforts into his next oppenent. If you watch the Briggs fight closely whenever Sergei got hit with the first counter by Briggs he was afraid to mix it up and was content on fighting at Briggs pace, which is slow, what that did is leave Briggs in the fight for the whole 12 rounds and gave him that energy to finish Sergei in the last round.
Ruiz should move down in class he just cannot seem to win one against contenders away from the protection of thoes hometown judges.

I don't know why the White Wolf hasn't signed the contract yet. You would think he's had plenty of time to be ready for any opponent. It seems that he's worried about something in Ruiz's style.

I see that talentless clubfighter is talking shit again. Not only does he disgrace the sport INSIDE the ring, with his constant cheating - he whines and cries outside it too! :fire
What a total disgrace to the sport Ruiz is!! A cheater inside the ring, and a whiner outside of it. :nod

As reported by now he doesn't want to fight Ruiz because it didn't promise him a jump in the rankings. Instead he wants to fight Valuev for the number one contender. Ruiz has good publicists that make it seem like people are afraid of him, not hardly. The White Wolf makes more money and gets a title shot at Chagaev if he beats Valuev, that wasn't promised fighting Ruiz.
or maybe he needs more time off it's almost been a year since he was in the ring, maybe it's not enough.

That's a good point, and if that's really case, Liakhovitch is only making a good career move by passing on the fight that won't gain him anything in favor of waiting on a fight that will award him the #1 spot.
That has nothing to do with being afraid of Ruiz. That merely means Liakhovitch wants to hopefully advance himself wtih each fight, not sidestep.
But if they do fight:.............
....Ruiz by decision.
The Quietman is BACK, baby!

If Ruiz really wants a fight maybe he can check if David Tua is available again. The only Ruiz fight I am interested in watching is one where he's staring up at the lights after 20seconds.

Now you cut that shit out! And cut it out, NOW!
How DARE you try to derail this man's comeback! Its Quiet Man time, baby!
So let's cut the bullshit and all bask in the supremacy that is Ruiz! The Quiet Man Cometh! :happy

He should sign for the opportunity to beat RUIZ, it'll be good for his resume.

I dont understand why he doesnt take this fight. There must be something personal going on. His biggest problem are his long layoffs.

Liakhovich's management now say that they are not gonna fight Ruiz because they are trying to fight Valuev. Valuev has supposedly said that he is ready to fight Liakhovich.

Valuev vs Liakhovich would be the better fight but Liakhovich should still fight Ruiz now to see where he stands and to stay sharp.

The White wolf is right to fear Ruiz.
Ruiz would put him to sleep.
Out cold for a brutal ten count.

Lyahovich is a shit C level fighter. He beat one of the worst heavyweight champs of all time in Lamon Brewster only to LOSE to one of the other WORST heavyweight champs of all time.
He's never beat a top guy in his life, and don't you say Brewster is, he's shit as well.
He is scared of Ruiz, because he knows it's a damn good chance he'd lose, or atleast 50-50, or they'd take the damn fight. Ruiz is a name, no matter what you say about it, and beating Ruiz would actually be the best fighter on his resume.
He says whats the point in fighting Ruiz, how bout you said you would, and haven't fought in a damn year, take the damn fight, if you lose you lose, but take the fight.
If you want to be top dog, you shouldn't duck ANY fight.
