Like your other thread, Ayala/Davilla, these are another two favorites of mine..Carbajal won my eternal respect for his GREAT come from behind ko to Gonzales, and I don't even hold those two subsequent losses by decision to Gonzales..he was an exciting, at one time dominant champion in his class..Lopez, on the other hand is one of my special favorites..a thrilling fighter and one of the best punchers of history..a modest, refreshing humble guy who just calmly got up when he was decked and destroyed his man..the ko over Juan Malvarez is one of the most satisfying, sudden and dramatic ko's of all time..I'm going to give it to Lopez..his record is stocked with some bigger names and it took the great Sal Sanchez to beat him.

michael carbajal made fly weights relevant transindent fighter vicous puncher with a remarkable will to win as evident in gonzales win but imo even more so in jorge arce win when he was clearly not the same fighter but still pulled fight from fire the only downfall with michael wasnt his fault beside chiquita an later arce mainstream wasnt familar with opposition. danny lopez came from a golden age of fw, jrlw with salvador sanchez, bobby chacon, bazooka limon, argelluo an altough he didnt fight all he faught most an was great puncher with huge heart that was imeasureable both undoubtably great and it is a toss up in terms of ranking atg

Danny Lopez by far... overall a far better resume in a more competitive division in a good era.
Lopez has more wins over greats....
I don't want to hate on Carbajal... but Michael was rather limited
