See the Dick Tiger result.

i don't know if he'd get the knockout...but that's the exact same thing i'd say about tiger if i didn't see him starched.

hopkins has less of a chance of outboxing foster as anyone he's ever fought, he loses all physical advantages and foster is the hardest hitting 175 pounder ever.

hopkins can turn it into a brutal foul filled and impose himself close on foster but i doubt it would last.

Foster, UD or KO not sure

With Foster all it took was one of his left hooks or Right hands. B-Hop looks better at light-heavy than he does middleweight but not sure if it would be enough to survive Foster for 15 rds. B-Hop may cry low blow to save himself time and give himself rest like he did with Calzage but Foster would be the aggresser

bob foster by KO. basing on how bad he was vs jones, a prime hard hitting and fast bob foster would knock his ass out.

Hopkins is going to have a hard time selling any future fights. He looked done last night. Foster would kill him.

Foster would have found him eventually and knocked him out. If Hopkins somehow avoided the ko he would lose a wide decision ala Foster challenger Ray Anderson, who just tried to survive..

Anderson had a terrible chin but he ran a marathon against Foster. I don't think Hopkins's old legs and diminished reflexes are enough to avoid Foster for 12 rounds.

Amazing that Finnegan actually took that first shot there and continued.

I love B-Hop..It's a PHILLY Thang! I am not sure that Hop's would sign to fight Foster in spite of the payday that would hypothetically loom. If so his best chance would to be merely fight for survival, and I am not certain that he would. he would certainly be well behind on the cards either way.

A prime Hop's would be to small although he might be able to put on the weight necesary without losing to much..The Hop's that fought Tarver would still most likely be in well over his head. I think a younger Hop's would make it more competitive, but don't see anyway he could deal with Foster at any point in his career...even less so now!!

2010? So, a 45 year old Hopkins vs. a 30 year old prime Bob Foster?

Foster by close decision.

Prime Foster vs. a 41 year old Hopkins? Hopkins by decision!

Hopkins looks a lot slower and less active in his last 2 fights.

I like Foster but take away the win over Tiger and you will see that he has few quality wins vs. top fighters. He beat Eddie Cotton, Mike Quarry, and Vincente Rondon... so what?

He lost badly to good but smallish HWs like Doug Jones LKOby8 (he was a late sub for Folley and it was early in his career) and Zora Folley L10 (Folley actually weighed about 212 but this was high for Folley). No shame in losing to Ernie Terrell LKOby7, Frazier LKOby2, and Ali LKOby8.

Hopkins fought the likes of RJJ x2, S. Mercado x2, J.D. Jackson, Glen Johnson, S. Brown, A. Echols, K. Holmes, F. Trinidad, C. Daniels, W. Joppy, O. DeLaHoya, J. Taylor x2, A. Tarver, W. Wright, J. Calzaghe, and K. Pavlik among others. He lost to Jones (1 out of 2), Taylor (both very close), and Calzaghe (very close) but he was never totally dominated in a fight and never came close to losing by KO.

I wish Hopkins and Jones would have fought their rematch about 5 or 6 years ago. I also wish that Hopkins would have fought some other notable fighters like Julian Jackson, G. McClellan, N. Benn, C. Eubank, J. Toney, D. Michalczewski, or even M. Kessler a few years back.

This thread is my response to that "boxing display" old Bernard put on old Roy on Saturday

Foster would take out Bhop in 12 rounds, and Hopkins wouldn't get up for at least seven minutes.

Bob Foster would ko Hopkins. A brutal, no BS ko.

Foster wins 100% imo. Foster's too long for BHop to stay away from and also has the power to stop Hopkins...Hopkins would know this and would, as the contest wore on, spoil his way to either a wide UD loss or Hopkins could possibly get clocked.

Style-wise, Hopkins matches up really well with Foster. At this age he doesn't stand a chance in hell, though, he isn't really a notable light-heavyweight.

That said, the thread was quite a funny quip. Well done. :D

I agree with this thread though I dont see Hopkins getting knocked out by anyone. Hopkins' prime was at middleweight, not light heavyweight. Foster by UD.

I'll take a prime middleweight to weigh in same day as a healthy light heavyweight.

Foster via wide decision. His jab wins it, with Hopkins smart enough to survive....maybe he doesn't.

Foster all the way.
