Mundine to win by KO is 1.08, Mundine by decision is 9.00

I think thats pretty good odds, Mundine isnt exactly a KO machine, just how crap is this opponent ?

I think it's definitely worth a punt at that value.
Everyones saying that undine will end this fight whenever he feels like it, I happen to disagree with this strongly. People see that he's from Argentina and they picture Mundine's KO win against Acousta, and think it'll be more of the same against this guy. Fact is that a lot of the Argie fighters are tough nuts(Acousta, and Clavero excluded), and can soak up some punishment.
However, the downside is that he has only ever fought 6 rounders, which is a bit of a worry if you're going to bet on him lasting till the bell.

In conclusion, It wouldn't surprise me if Mundine wins on points, or wins in the first round. It isn't hard to picture Mundine winning in similar fashion to how Green beat Garcia, though I just get the feeling that the 6 rounder thing will play a bit of a part.

If you're an optimist, go for the bet. :good

Unless Mundine plans on putting a few thousand bucks down to win by decision, i'd say you just lost $20.

Hmmm

I guess it depends on how many of anthony's good mates have money riding on him to win by decision.... :tong

lol no way its gonna go to decision that will look so bad on his reputation, its out to 12 dollars by the way, your much safer going 20 dollars on a round say form round 3-5, if it lasts anymore then that thats disgraceful

You're being a tad bit harsh saying it will be disgraceful if it goes past 5 rds.

Yeah lets be fair.
Sure Nieves has a pretty poor record and has been listed as been dropped a few times but no one has seen him fight. We dont know the circumstances of those fights or KD's and if he will turn up differently tonight.

I gotta say I was one of the ones who said Choc can end it when he pleases, and Ill stand by that. But Argies know how to spoil and how to take whatever talent they have a long way in a fight.
Looking at Nieves' size if Choc doesnt bomb him out ala Guy Waters, taking 7 to 8 rounds to chop him down isnt that bad.

If Choc doesnt stop him however he should be disapointed and be prepared to accept some criticism, as well all know why he chose Nieves.

Stoppage 3, 4 or 5 is probably a better bet.

But also chucking $10 or $20 on the decision won't break the bank.

Check the guys records. Has he ever been hurt? KOed? Remember he is pretty big, which should make it harder for him to get KOed.

It is probably the best gambler's bet.

i did the same thing a while back. If you have got an extra 30 bucks put it on a multi bet. If you go across 7 or so events and they all come up you can get like 60 to 1 odds. I did it with the nrl and afl grand finals, the superbowl and a few others and got 33 to 1 odds. Got a win to!

You guys want a tennis tip for tonite

Wayne Arthurs v Tommy Robredo, Arthurs to win the first set at 3 dollars. Big left serve, grass court player against a clay court specialist. Robredo might be able to grind out a win for the whole match, but Arthurs has at worst a 50 percent chance of winning the first set

Wonder how many of Chocs mates (via 3rd party of course) bet on the decision.

There were many opportunities (esp in the middle rounds) where mundine could have finished Nievas off...

I'm now only 60 bucks away from my target of 1000 (i started with 100). I'm cashing out 800 and will try and win another 100 tonite on the tennis.

Once i've got my grand , that's it, no more betting, that's the secret of gambling. What you gamble, consider it already spent, like a night out drinking and secondly, when you reach your target, stop ! People get too greedy and lose their winnings.

This money is going towards my holiday early next year to Amsterdam, London, New York and Vegas :)

best thing about going to vegas is that all the drinks are free and they are brought to you by half naked girls! you will have a blast but be prepared to lose a few hundred bucks :!:
