These two (along with Barrera) are my favorite fighters of the past ten years. Hearing they might fight really, really bothers me.

Roy: He is far past it and may have some cognitive issues which dictate he should not fight anymore.

Trinidad: His comeback is all about money, Don King is in his ear. His layoff has been too long to be a top shelf Trinidad, and at the same time he wont take enough tunu up fights to perform like we all want him to.

Their legacies: Niether will get credit for the fight, the one who loses was automatically shot.

This fight is bound to just leave bad memories for us who loved these guys as fighters. Someone is going to look bad, someone is going to get hurt, and then neither will get credit. Please, lets NOT make this fight.

What weight will this be held at? I doubt Jones can make 160 anymore. Probably 168?

Glass Jaw Roy Jones will get brutally KOed, especially if PaPa Trinidad loads Cheato's gloves as he usually does.

What the hell is wrong with you? If these two guys wanna fight and try to make a statement why would you not want them to fight? Are you personal friends with these guys? Your memory are from the past and that was then, this is now, both these shouldnt be fighting but id rather see them fight than Trinidad Vs. lets say a top contender at 168 who would probably kill Trinidad, and as for Jones, well he'll probably will never hang them up until he rans into someone that will probably decapitate him, bottomline, they should have fought years ago, and at least they're doing it now.

it seems as if Tito is trying to stain his own legacy

even in their primes i wouldnt wanna see this fight cause roy is just so much naturally bigger, lets not forget that roy fought and won a heavy weight title, tito ended his career in the weightclass roy jones basically started in

RJJ is gonna stain his shorts when he loses the ability to control his body functions again !!!

What statement would they make?

Do I have to be personal friends with them to not want two fighters who should retire to fight eachother?

I think that even this washed-up version of RJJ has too many advantages for Tito to pull it off.

They stopped making statement long ago, they would just fight to squeeze more PPV buys, but its not even close Trinidad never had power at 160 so to fight the naturally bigger, faster Jones, will just make Jones look good!

Jones and Tito are in the same position... that is, if they want to continue boxing they have to prove each themselves by beating somed named fighters. However it doesn't work the same if they fight EACH OTHER!

This fight has little to gain, and little to lose, except time which should be of the essence to them if they're serious about getting back to the top.

I always thought Jones had so much pride in himself... Tarver may have devastated him.

Tarver just cracked the pride, Glen Johnson smashed the pride !!!

Prime Roy MURDERS Tito at any weight that could conceivably be arranged for either fighter. Bigger, Stronger, faster and VERY much more skilled. It would have been an embarrassment. Jones could literally pick which point from midway through ONE to 2:50 of TWELVE to end things.

Roy should have retired after Ruiz or at latest Tarver (1).

He is probably 'shot'.

Tito is probably NOT shot, he just doesn't have the skill to compete at 160 and up against serious opposition.

So at this point, I don't know what would happen and I don't really care. For knowledgeable fans , Jones' legacy has been created and cemented.

I could beat Ali at this point.

Would that hurt HIS legacy???

Someone is getting KTFO out brutally here. This is just not a good idea.

Tito could really hurt Roy IF he can land. On the other hand, Roy can seriously beat Trinidad into a pulp.

Theyre both past it and if they keep fighting one of them will end up a vegetable.

I can see Jones slaughtering a blown up Tito.

Jones is far from prime obviously, but this is pretty much suicide for Trinidad.

RJ will crush him. No chance in hell.

I can't believe people on here actually think that Tito has ANY chance in hell
