What do you guys eat for healthy snack foods when you are hungry and can't wait? I need some new ones because the wheat thins are getting old....lol. Also I have heard various opinions on pretzels - healthy or not?? (assuming they are the low fat or fat free type)

I sometimes get these Trader Joe brand whole wheat pretzels that are pretty good. Also like yogurt for a snack... A lot of times after dinner, I'll defrost some frozen berries or fruit in a cup and add then some nonfat plain or vanilla yogurt and stir it up. It's a pretty good dessert, but would be a good snack any time of day. (I also add this cereal called "Kashi Crunch" that has a lot of different whole grains and protein in it, adds some crunch. Granola would be a good mix-in, too.)

Nuts, bananas, apples and most other fruits. Try not to have too much refined carbs.

Almonds and avacado, baked potato with some cottage cheese.

I did have a bad incident after eating a bunch of raisins and getting caught out on the road in the middle of nowhere.

Just keep in mind that nuts are high in fat.. In the end, they are also high calorie.. They are made up of good fats and all, but if you eat these make sure you are putting in the work to burn the calories..

Remember, you take in more net calories than you burn, you still gain.. You want something low in fat, celery, grapefruit is a negative calorie, a good yogurt is good because it has good proteins.. Honey, can end up fucking you, its good for you but it has a lot of calories. Eat the stuff, but also keep track of how much you are working out.

You cutting? Maybe eat nuts prior to a heavy workout. Nuts are good for a ketosis diet, but you shoudln't be doing a ketosis diet if your into some sort of active athletics, other than maybe bodybuilding or emergency weight cutting for a fight.

On Nuts in general, first rule is: Always unsalted.

You have to moderate with Nuts because their so small, people go crazy on them. However, their quite intense in fat/calories. Usually only have 10-15 of them, then add water/tea.

Fruits are great in general. As for Bars/protein bars, they can be fine, but again, high in calories if you dont watch out.

Of course, if your looking only to muscle up and not worried about weight, all of the above is great and take as much as you want. Just dont forget to take a glass of water(dont matter the size) every hour, that will fill your stomach.
