Over the years I have been unfarly critizing MMA as being "boring" and "no different then gay porn" even though I literally only watched about 5 matches.
I have been watching more MMA lately and I'm here to admit I was wrong and should have given it a better chance.
So MMA and all it's fans, I, Vladimir Alvarez, (using my real name for once) am sorry and apologize.

Welcome to the club! Enjoy! There's plenty of space!
And YES! One of my favorites, and it's exciting as hell to watch if you've developed even a remote appreciation for the ground game and how sophisticated it is, and even moreso if you've trained in it yourself and can relate to what's happening...
UFC 87 - Demian Maia vs. Jason MacDonald. Fight was fucking AWESOME!
Easily in my Top 3 ever. (And I've seen all 150 UFC events, and all 68 Pride FC events and all the other ones...)

I kinda hate watching fights I've neve seen before on YouTube because you have a good idea on when it's going to end and the "Holy Shit!" factor is kinda...well, gone. (Almost) Try torrents or something that streams...that way nothing will be given away by the duration of the YouTube video.

Also, out of curiousity, what made you change your mind?
(I've converted about 5-6 dozen people to now MMA addicts...was as simple as answering some fairly basic questions that people usually get really bad or horribly wrong answers to)

Going by matches that every MMA fan has seen.
Matt Hughes vs. Frank Trigg 1 & 2
Matt Hughes vs. BJ Penn 1 & 2
Stephan Bonnar vs Forrest Griffin
Spencer Fisher - Sam Stout II
Gomi vs Diaz
Wanderlei v. Cro Cop I and II
Wanderlei vs Rampage II
The just too many, but thats to be expected. Theres plenty of good fights out there, you just have to find what you like. Same as boxing.

I like I said I've been judging it off of like 5 matches i've ever watched.
I've been hearing about it almost everywhere and have been thinking why is this better then boxing? I saw some matches and it totaly sucks.
So I just started watching some fights Spike TV had on the other day (I cant name any of the fighters) and saw some pretty good fights.
Then I went on youtube and just typed in some names of MMA fighters that I knew of and started watching (youtube doesn't bother me).
So I'm still looking for some good fights to watch but from what I was watching I horrably misjudged MMA.

Get ready for the upcoming Jose Aldo vs Urijah Faber fight by watching Aldo vs Cub Swanson and Mike Brown. Faber in both Jens Pulver and Mike Brown fights, the Jeff Curran bout and Raphael Assuncao or even Bibiano Fernandes.

That was a good fight, intense blend of refined martial arts that didn't quite kick off, it almost seemed a proper prelude to M v R 2.
