Starting to really respect Matt Hughes

I was happier than anyone when GSP beat his ass. For some reason he was just starting to rub me the wrong way, maybe it was his shit talking of the Gracie system and then his fight with a 40yr old Gracie, but whatever, I was starting to hate on him pretty badly. But seeing him on this show, I've really regained alot of respect and appreciation for him. He really is a professional and a great fighter and athlete.

Also what might be softening me up to Hughes is just how bad Serra and his team are coming off. What a bunch of immature dicks they are coming off ass! Like last night when Serra and Drago were walking in, and Hughes was walking out...Hughes just put his head down, waited for them to pass and then left. Those two idiots walk in with their cocky faces, Drago gives like a dumb smerk too. Hughes so much better than Drago its not even comparable. Drago sucks compared....SUCKS. He has one win against Baroni, in a fight he was losing and Baroni is nowhere near the level of Hughes. I don't know, I just hope Hughes beats the living shit out of Serra.

Matt hughes is an idiot, he is not a great coach, when he looks at people he sees only how big there muscles are not how skilled they are, he bullies his team when things don't go right and he is a hypocrite. Matt hughes is the worst TUF coach since Shamrock.

It really seems like everything Serra does on the show and in his public appearances is in terms of Hughes, constantly comparing them and talking shit about Hughes, whereas Hughes couldn't really care less about Serra other than he's the next opponent. Pete Sell seems like a cool enough guy, but yea, he's not that great of a fighter.

As for Hughes being a dick, just ask Chute Boxe, who hate everybody, if Hughes is a dick, I think they, especially Ninja will disagree with you. I never understood this hatred, it all comes from one season of him coaching, and he coached very well. He's a tough coach but thats why people want to train with him, because he gets results. Hughes is going to smash Serra, and Robbie Lawler would beat Sell in highlight reel fashion.

The most popular reason for this irrational hate actually appears to be that people think he has a smirk, I mean holy fuck people, this is your basis of judgement?

IMO Serra comes off as confident and honest and Hughes comes off as arrogant and self serving. I'm not sure why people want to talk about how they feel about these guys. People should watch sports for the sport, not the personalities.
