I'm curious as to whether most of you guys use a 2 or 3 minute round when training (be it shadowboxing, heavy bag work, or skipping)?

3 minute rounds with 30 seconds rest for everything (except skipping which we just go for 10-15 minutes straight).

I'm open class and that's what I fight so it only makes sense, but even the novices that fight 2 minute rounds train with 3's.

It seems to vary with our guys. On most days we do 2 minute rounds, but we also do 3 minute rounds on occasion.

On the heavy bag, we sometimes do high intensity rounds at 30 or 60 seconds with the same length of time for the rest period.

I forgot to mention that we have a mix of guys and only one timer. So I guess it really depends on who happens to show up.

Open class guys definitely go for 3 minute rounds, and when they set the timer you sometimes hear the novices bitchin' and whinin' in the background.

lol Well anyways, I'm gonna step it up to 3 mins since it seems like everybody is going hard.

Do the full blown 36 mins without any break. So you defo know you got the stamina for the distance of 12. Btw, roids help bigtime.

I do MMA, too. So, rounds are 5 minutes a pop no matter what im doing.

3 min, 1 min rest.
