Ding,
I know you're a frequent guest on these threads. Can you enlighten us as to how your preparation has been for this fight?
I'm expecting a KO win from you. :thumbsup

Of course Ding wins by KO. He is training so I don't expect him to waste time with us tonight, but he will surely be on soon after the fight to discuss it like he did with Davis.
If he does show up before the fight, then everyone wish him the best of luck and watch the fight, ESB needs to be 100% pro-Ding a ling man.
Ding KO 5.:good

I talked to Ding earlier today and he was on his way up to NY. I don't expect him to come onto the boards until after the fight, but he said he had a good camp. Not many people know about Nwodo, but the dude is tough, hits super hard, and has talent. BUT, Ding is my boy and I say Ding by KO in brutal fashion within 5.

dangerous fight for ding. one he didn't have to take. kudos for that.
when not in camp, Nwodo trains at Mack Lewis gym in Baltimore, where i used to train...Nwodo is super strong physically, but still doesn't punch like Ding can punch so trading wouldn't be wise for Nwodo...Nwodo does have a decent jab when he wants to, and he was always in supreme condition at the gym so he can go some rds at probably a higher pace than Ding...if it's a boxing match Nwodo will take it, but if it's a brawl Ding has it...

You know, Darnell's been showing this cat lots of respect. Since he knows him well that means Nwodo must come to the table with something, but I'm firmly behind Darnell Wilson. Wilson, great chin, huge punch and he faced by far the better competition.

A win here should put Ding close to a title shot.
How about Ding vs. Bell in a title eliminator?? Battle of two big punchers and both guys are there to be hit.

Nwodo is not a regional fighter, but he is a Kelvin Davis level of fighter in my opinion... he blew out Mayfield in a round, where as it took Povetkin 3.

Nwodo is a decent fighter with a punch, but I think Ding's chin and his own power will get him the W - probably sometime in the 4th - 6th rounds.

I think if Ding wins it it would be the best and most credible win for his career yet. But i think he will do it!

If/when I turn pro and become a big deal, I am TOTALLY going to bring a laptop to the arena for every televised fight so that the moment it's over I can log on to ESB and find all the posts of people talking shit about me before they can edit them and reply "ROTFL STFU NOOB!".
Unfortunately I have to go to a wedding rehearsal dinner tonight for a wedding I am not even part of :wall, but FNF repeats at like midnight right?
In any event, go Ding :bbb

Why Is Ding called the Ding A Ling man?
Cause that's his nick name. Has been for as long as I've known about him as a pro, and that's about 4 years or more now. I remember back at my old gym there was a fight poster for one of his fights, just a local one at the DC Armory I think, and it had in parentheses next to his name "The Ding a Ling Man". I think that psoter was from like '02, at least. I think the story behind it is that when he hits you, you go ding a ling.

You don't have to worry about it. Nwodo's from Baltimore. Ain't no way Baltimore is beating PG. :yep

Yeah there's also another explanation for it. Heard Joe tessitore talking about it once on FNF. Let's just say that it has something to do with the length in his pants.
Yeah. But for now, let's just stick to the boxing explanation. Although I think someone said something to Ding about coming out to "My Ding a Ling" by Chuck Berry.
