Anyone who buys this fight, remember you are supporting the corruption of our sport. This fight is a complete joke. Buying this tells the promotors its alright for some washed up has been to fight bums and get a title shot. Following in the footsteps of Rahman, Briggs, Mesi, etc, this will ruin our sport.

So if Holyfield wins, does that make them both washed up? How does that work?

Are you one of the people that thinks Holyfield isn't completely shot? If you are may I remind you he's 10 years past his prime and fought a bunch of bums to get this title shot!

Then don't buy it.I,on the other hand will contribute to the downfall of boxing and purchase the event.Holyfield will give just as much,if not more, than Barrera did last Saturday.:good

Barerra didn't do shit in that fight. He lost a wide UD if you didn't see the scorecards.

Thanks for keeping the sport what it is today. Totally fucked up.

Holy has fought a bunch of bums. He's done nothing for this except bring his name. Ibragimov v. McCall wouldn't have sold or received the attention, for example.

My hope is that Sultan retires him gracefully.

I think Holyfield has a better chance than most are giving him. I'd put it at 50/50.

Just look at Ibragimov vs Austin. Ibragimov went 12 with Ray Austin???
Wlad beat Austin so easily, it was actually comical. Wlad fought with one hand right up until the finishing blow.

You are insane if you give Holyfield a 50/50 shot at beating anyone in the top 10 since he hasn't.

NO WAY this fight should be on PPV. The reason it is on PPV is no network would buy it.

Maybe you can't read or don't have any fucking mental capacity but if morons like you stopped buying these joke fights they'd stop selling them. Do your thing though, you're probably one of those guys who feeds his kids Ramen noodles and drinks heavily with the rest of the money judging by your piss poor reply.

Yep. And it's a mid priced PPV at $35. If it was $50 I might think twice, but at $35 it's a definite buy.

SO buy it. Saturday afternoon you can come back and apologize when Holyfield gets his ass whipped and you payed $35 to watch it.

I've found that most people who do the insulting, name calling, etc... need to look in the mirror.

Read the other guy's post before you say anything. He called me an asshole for no reason.:-(

It's ours and not your Sport only, you don't dictate what should or should not happen. You have no reason whatsoever to comment on this one afterwards since you are not willing to buy the PPV, all of us have your number in this and other threads and thus you will not have anything to comment about... Start a thread about Julio Diaz vs Juan Diaz ( also trained by Ronnie Shields)... Corruption is to be understood as an act done with an intent to give some advantage inconsistent with official duty and the rights of others. It includes bribery, but is more comprehensive; because an act may be corruptly done, though the advantage to be derived from it be not offered by another. Sometimes corruption is understood as something against law; such as, a contract by which the borrower agreed to pay the lender usurious interest. It is said, in such case, that it was corruptly agreed, et cetera. Since nothing of the above applies, I believe you are not only a Holyfield naysayer as you are a hater with biased opinion and your basic malfunction should go back in time to the Tyson vs Holyfield fight most probably.

Thank You and I personally will be willing to denounce him for propaganda against the PPV subscription both to the WBO commission and ESPN if he mentions Corruption and this Telecast, even if he is protected by ESB membership policies... Anyone has to take account of legal consequences of suggestion to crime, denouncing a crime that is not a crime is a crime itself.

Although i do believe firmly Holy is well past it the same was said of Randy Couture. No one can deny his desire to win and succeed. Kudos to him. I hope the old boy shines full part.

I might ordinarily say that you are right, but you have to remember that Sultan wanted Chag, and Chag pulled out. Holyfield is wha they could get at the last minute.

And besides, the sad truth is, Holy has beaten better competetion than most guys in the last year.
