Hatton requests Mayweather to stand and fight.

Floyd requests Hatton not to hold and hit.

If this actually happens then someone is getting KTFO in an exciting fight!

Look,Mayweather is a boxer and Hatton is a brawler period. That is the long and short of it, the cut and dry the comparative analisys. We have seen this match up on numerous occasions, and save for a few instances, it seems that the boxer usually does just that and out boxes the slugger. We also know that this is boxing however, and one punch can change everything. That being said, I just don't see how Hatton can beat Mayweather. Mayweather is faster, stronger, slicker and the naturally bigger man. I am pretty amazed that more people are not mentioning Hatton's deplorable showing at 147 against Luis Collazo. Granted, Collazo is a very solid welter, Mayweather he is not. If Hatton barely beat him, what is he gonna do with Floyd?

most of the UK will be asleep and not giving a shit, boxing means nothing over here now. i'd like to see hatton win, but it won't happen, and i won't lose any sleep if he takes a beating.

Mayweather threatened to stand and trade with ODLH, but he didnt, and he wont with Hatton either, hes too smart to veer from his game plan, he may open up if he gets Hatton in trouble though, for what its worth, I hope Hatton wins!

Thats too bad. It's the Greatest Sport in the World.

It is a shame, and it is the greatest! We need a few more stars over here, I remember when I was younger, we had Benn, Eubank, Bruno, Lewis, Naz, Collins and I suppose JC!

I love when people say things like this. Sure Floyd can beat Hatton by boxing but how about if he just stands there and lets Ricky take all the free shots he wants?

Remember the excitement generated at Wembley when Bruno fought Lewis, during the ring entrances? Thats what boxing is all about?

was a suprisingly good fight as well, although no all british fight in the future will ever beat the tension and hatred of eubank-benn.

With the contrasting styles it has potential.

But come December 9 I don't think I'll be sorry that I didn't buy this thing.

Floyd wouldn't even stand toe to toe with Baldomir, how the fvck can you expect him to do it with a much better fighter in Hatton?

Floyd will run like a geeze and win one of the most boring "super" fights ever.

Ya, that's why I think 38k people went to see Calzaghe beat up Manfredo? Is that also why thousands cross the Atlantic to see Hatton?

Yes he did. Just because Oscar couldn't land the shots he threw doesn't mean Floyd didn't stand in front of him. Watch it again.

Personally I don't think either guy is going to keep their words. But really... Floyd doesn't run from his opponents like people brand him to do. He doesn't let his opponents fight their fight so if that means getting out of range then so be it. Usually he back tracks to catch people coming in but he is there to fight. The ref will play a huge factor for Hatton's outcome. If he allows roughness and bending of the rules then I can see Hatton having some upseting chance but if the ref only allows few illegal moves then Hatton is going to be KOed.

Hatton maybe a better overall fighter, but he's nowhere near as big, he sure doesn't hit as hard, and he sure doesn't have Baldo's beard! It doesn't make since to stand toe to toe w/someone like Baldo once you realize this. I can bet you that at 147lbs Baldo beats the shit out of Hatton!

Do you think Hatton would go toe to toe w/Baldo and win?:nono

Floyd stood in the pocket with Baldomir for 6 rounds and abort mission of a possible KO by then since he hurt his hands. Risk of injury to stop someone like Baldomir is pointless. Judah and Gatti was shock when they see the old man wouldn't stop coming forward and I can't believe Forrest didn't KO baldomir since he has every advantage over Bald in size, reach, and strength.

If Floyd went toe-to-toe with Baldomir he'd have a better chance of winning then standing toe-to-toe with Hatton, simply because Hatton is the better, more skilled guy with awesome speed and power.

Hey Judah, Gatti both have youth and better skills than Baldomir and look what happened...

Yea you are right, Hatton is obvious better than Baldomir in terms of skills but so was Judah and Gatti. Apparantly there is something that Baldomir have that build up his 19 win streaks and two upsets. Hatton doesn't have his chin. So yea Floyd may have to deal with a better fighter but at least he can hurt this one and make him stop coming forward like a mad man.

Yes..., There will be an exciting fight. But not Floyd-Hatton. It will be in the undercards like Penalosa-Deleon or Lacy-Manfredo.

face facts, boxing is a minor side issue when it comes to sport in the uk these days. ****** is struggling to flog 60k+ for the biggest fight of calzaghes career in his own backyard. how many went with hatton, 8k? wow, how many are in paris right now for the rugby? how many follow the cricket and football teams all over the planet? a hell of a lot more.
