He should fight Valuev - that might actually generate some interest. And probably set a record for highest combined size and weight in a boxing title fight.

The winner of the IBF tournament won't be ready yet. That fight will happen in mid 2008.
Could be Tua, Briggs (I doubt it), Rahman, Sanders, Golota or Peter.
Or maybe against Holyfield-Ibragimov winner or Chageav.

its purrity. he still has some unfinished business with him......you know, like with brewster.
its not final though, cause they still have to locate purritys cemetary.
but i heard they already bought the shovel to dig him up.
so keep your fingers crossed!!!

Sam Peter would be the best bet.The winner would be universily recognized as champ for whatever thats worth these days.

He should fight Peter again
I know he has no reason to because he completely outclassed Peter last time but it's a fight I think Peter really wants and it's another Belt for Wlad...also by the rare chance that he loses he has a case for an automatic Rematch seeing as the series would be 1-1

I think he wants to fight the winner of Holyfield-Ibragimov, think he said something in those lines in an interview.
If it's Ibragimov then we can finally have a competitive fight and if it's Holyfield, then Holyfield can finally retire afterwards.

wladimir klitschko does not need to fight sanders. sanders is past his prime and does not deserve a title shot. when he keeps on and beats good contenders my view might change. tua is a potential opponent but klitschko wants to fight for another belt. chagaev wont be ready yet. he will face his mandatory and then we will see. valuev could be a chagaev opponent again when his promoter makes a deal. rahman is not a good choice. peter would be the most fascinating fight or the winner of holyfield/ibragimov.

If its no current Champ then fight a former Champ with enough power to give him a risky fight like Shannon Briggs or Hasim Rahman either one is ok with me. If Brock or Byrd wins this IBF box off he better not fight them agian or he immeditaley becomes a fraud.

I hope Tua

I hope Tua I agree, Tua posses a good chin and serious power. If Tua could somehow get inside on the Wlad, we will probably have a new champ.

I've seen some of Tua's last few fights, and based on what I saw, he will got clobbered by Wlad. I actually believe Wlad would knock him out at this stage.
Tua CAN win a title, but taking the Wlad route is all wrong for him. But I doubt this would happen, anyway.

How did Rahman look against Dicky Ryan?

If Tua tries tp box or stay on the outside with Wlad hes dead, but if he could in fact find a way to get on the inside and throw some powerful hooks it could lights out for Wlad. Besides Tua has the chin to take a few shots to get in on Wlad if he wants to, but yeah I agree more and likely Tua fights a passive fight thats results in a late round Tko or UD for Wlad.

Tua has been trying to do better in terms of attacking the body, improving his stamina, and increasing his punch volume....but I just can't see any of this working against Wlad.
I am basing this off of his fights with Maurice Wheeler and Robert Hawkins.
In fairness, I haven't seen Tua's last two bouts, so perhaps he's shown further improvement.
To me, Wlad is the last person Tua should fight.
Tua SERIOUSLY dropped the ball when he turned down a proposed match to face Lamon Brewster. That was a WINNABLE fight for Tua.
Instead, he balked, and Wlad wound up fighting Brewster instead.
Big mistake by Team Tua!

Big mistake by Team Tua! Yeah I read that as well, I think he said something like he wants to take things slower or something, like he wasnt ready for such a challange.
Im not saying Tua will win, all Im saying he has a few things that could give Wlad some trouble. His chin is top notch, and Tua does posses that one punch knockout power. I do feel Tua has the ability to win if he could pressure Wlad into going punch for punch with him, though its unlikely Wlad would be that dumb.
I would like to see Tua pull a Tyson and go for broke in the first couple rounds and hope he catches him with something big, I feel thats really the only chance he has of winning. If this fight does happen, this fight will be the first fight Wlads on PPV.

Tua would get HAMMERED by Klitschko. It would be a replay of Klitschko-Brewster II with a little flavor of Lewis-Tua to it.

How would fighting his madatory make Wlad a fraud? If Brock or BYrd win the tourney they become the top IBF contender - period. Regardless of their chances vs. Wlad.

True. No need to fight Peter again unless he has a REAL belt of his own.

Wlad should fight the winner of Iggy vs. Holy, Chagaev, Sanders or Valuev. Rahman hasn't earned it, neither has Tua. Sanders deoesn't deserve it either but he does has a TKO win over Wlad so there's the revenge/legacy factor.

:good
I don't think Rahman or Tua deserve a shot at the guy most deem THE man at heavy, no.
But those undeserving aside, Valuev or Sanders would also be good fights, but I think Wlad said he's not intersted in Valuev, now that he has no title. And I think the expiration date on the Sanders rematch has probably passed, after this amount of time, and given that Sanders will be seen as long past it and no longer credible. (but I'd still like to see it if nothing big is available)
-Holy Ibrag winner.........Unification.......always a Great choice, regardless of who its with
-Chagaev.........Best choice, hands down.....an undefeated opponent who is the #2 man, fighting the #1 man...and it brings unification, as well.......THE fight to make, if you ask me.
-Sanders.......maybe still somewhat interesting to boxing fans, but maybe not, after all this time.
