Please vote and explain your choice :good
I just watched the Fedor vs Rogers fight again there. Fedor gets his nose broken, takes hard clean punches to the face while on his back, is outweighed by at least 30lbs... and still wins. The guy is a miracle. However, it doesn't look like he is coming to the UFC anytime soon. Which of these three has the best chance of beating him?

Sorry to take your thread in a seperate direction but I have been away from my computer for some time and come Monday, I will be away for a while longer.
Soooo, can someone tell me what Fedor has planned for his next fight? The last I heard the Werdum fight was put off a couple times and Fedor's management was essentially hijacking Strikeforce through financial manipulation. All this has frustrated me because I really enjoy watching Fedor apply his craft in MMA, not watching his managemnet apply their craft....
Any updates would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

I see Fedor as semi-retired. Like ODLH for the last few years of his career. He'll fight once a year and do ok, but look increasinlgy vulnerable. I'll watch with interest, but don't expect him to fight in the UFC or even clean up the very good roster of fighters Strikeforce has.

He fights Werdum on 26 June on Strikeforce.

A fight with Overeem would be huge for both men.
Most of all I still want that Barnett fight to go ahead.

Barring some freak occurrence, Overeem would get annihilated. Allistair's chin couldn't hold up against light-heavyweights like Shogun and Chuck; what do you think Fedor would do to him?

Well. I see your point, but Allistair has grown alot the last few years. (not just in size). His stand up has improved alot, and I see him dominating that aspect in the first part of the fight, until Fedor tags him with a big one. His win over Badr Hari goes to prove that.
I give him a slim chance to win this one. It will definately be competititve.

I don't see the point of mentioning the Hari win because 1. it was K-1 and 2. Hari stopped him in the rematch.
Maybe it'd be about as competitive as Fedor/Rogers, at least for few minutes. It's also worth noting Overeem has a habit of gassing in longer fights.

wow, not a single top 10 HW on the list. This is all we have to pick from, how sad is that ;)

I voted none but out of the 3 alistair had the best chance but i doubt he'll beat the GOAT.
None but Overeem is the best of the 3.

I thinks its a go for the 26 June date. M1 wanted to have more M1 fighters on the card as per the original agreement. Also it was never about the money, M1 actually invested more money for the first event than Strikeforce.
From what ive heard these guys will fight on the night against Strikeforce fighters.

I voted for Ubereem! Not because i think he will beat the Fed but because i think he has the best tools to nick a win.
Lashley and Mo will take Fedor down and be armbarred probably.
Overeem is packing some serious power and if he manges to land one of them knees to Fedors head then its fight over. I don't care how great Fed is, them knees are DEVASTATING.
That said, i still think Fedor will win, most likely by 1st round KTFO.
Barnett is the biggest test for Fedor in the world right now. Well rounded, tough as nails and strong as an ox. That fight will be better than any other available at the moment.
Lets see it happen early 2011!
