We really don’t need to see a fight between Ricky Hatton and Floyd Mayweather. It’s a bad match-up! Mayweather is too slick and too fast for a one dimensional Hatton. He’ll simply run all night and win a boring decision with Hatton chasing him around while getting hit with counter shots. The fight need to see is Hatton vs Cotto. Now that’s a fight. Both guys would stand toe to toe and hammer away at each other. Imagine the body punching in that one. That’s a fight that could end up being fight of the year. Not Hatton vs Mayweather.

without a doubt cotto vs hatton would be a far more entertaining fight them mayweather/hatton.
but only the floyd nutswingers would say that we just dont appreciate the sweet science and blah blah.
cotto/hatton would be a war and alot of body punches but cotto hits way too hard for hatton to take it through the fight.

I think Hatton has enough ring intelligence to make a good fight against the bigger Cotto. Hatton knows what he's capable of and does a great job applying all of what is capable within his abilities

I think this would be the easier fight out there for Gayweather, i see how Margarito has been calling him out for a while now, and he wont fight him... So hell fight Hatton whose two divisions below him, yeah this is cherry picking at its finest. I dont wanna see this fight as of right now, i would like to see Gayweather fight Mosley, if not Cotto, if not Margarito first!

Hatton-Cotto would sell better than any other welterweight fight and would be far more entertaining.

I think the promoters of both Hatton and Cotto don't want the fight at this stage of their careers. Hatton-Cotto is a 10-12 rounds brawl that both fighters will never be the same after. It will have the same effect on the fighters as did Castillo-Corrales.
