imo because Duke Mckenzie won titles at 3 different divisions.

Sure, let's emulate Mckenzie and get KTFO by 3rd and 4th rate fighters.:rofl

No. He should just fight PBF, Cotto, Margo-williams winner and maybe even Juan Diaz to become the pre-eminent fighter of his generation (ie not the Mosley, ODLH lot - they're really a slightly different era).

Hatton cant go through the weight divisions, he's too short, simple as that.

Any real quality fighter should be able to freely move through the divisons where Duke fought, it is just easier to do down there.

Expert in his strange way has raised an intersting point..... Guys get recognition history wise by either their domination of one particular division or fighting all the available elite competition. Hattons management need to be careful or he might do neither.

He should just concentrate on getting a fight with Mayweather.

Hatton has already got his fair share of alphabet crap...

He is a whole above McKenzie; unlike Duke, Hatoon has become a Champion of the World (at 140lbs), and if I was him, I would only be intrested in big money and as easy as possible fights from now on.

he won 3 titles.

but 2 of those were wbo title shots.

back in those days the wbo was lightly regarded.

mckenzie had come off losing the european title and got a crack at a wbo title. :yep

Joe Calzaghe is currently the WBO Super Middleweight champion.

and how is the WBO regarded now?

it's a lot more highly thought of now than back then.

although even now it's still seen as the worst of the 4.

Joe Calzaghe is the Super Middleweight Champion of the World; he holds the championship with or without the WBO. Indeed without he would have a bit more money!
