Stieglitz would beat him imo. Mendy is skilled but he lacks the killer instinct (inside and outside the ring). A very good amateur career, a few good years as a pro with several defenses of the french title but he didn't step up when he has to do. His level of opposition has been too low for ages.

That he is but only by the best of the division. Mendy isnīt one of them imo.

About Zuniga it's not the Zuniga you probably think of (Fernando, not Fulgencio)
The french federation also claimed this fight won't take place on their official site.

Golden Boy Promotion won the purse bid and they obtained the right to organize Jean-Paul Mendy vs Sakio Bika (IBF eliminatory, the winner will be the official challenger of Bute) . Each boxer will obtain 15000$ .

I doubt that fight goes through. For that little money, Bika could just stay home and fight a scrub.

It's serious and it's not a surprise : GBP was the only company to participate. I don't know for Bika but Mendy could agree. He has nearly 0 chance to beat Bute but against Bika it's not as impossible imo.
His motivation would be to target a better purse against Bute. Since Mendy is a clubfighter he has no trainer, no sparring partners, no manager : the 15k$ would be for him.
