Meehan has only been stopped by fairly big punchers and hasn't been stopped since 2004.

Chagaev hasn't stopped anyone since Sprott in 2006.

Anything can happen, but I don't know about a KO by Chagaev.

These are actually the most generous odds on Chagaev out there. Most bookmakers have him 1/6 or 1/7.

Anything can happen, but I don't know about a KO by Chagaev.

Watch the film on Meehan from 2004 and how much faster his hands where as compared to 2007. He's slowed wayyyy down. He'll only be slower in 2010. He'll be lucky to make it 4 rounds. Chagaev should just pound him to the body, I'll be over in 2 that way.

Check out the American style odds; these numbers suggest Chagaev's expected to win inside the distance:

At his peak, Chagaev was obviously much better than Meehan. But we should not overlook Chagaev's mediocre showings against Skelton and Drumond. And that's to say nothing about how the Vlad beating and one year's inactivity will effect Chagaev. Remember: Meehan can really bang...he could get lucky.
