Bring it on then! Holyfield will not retire voluntarily so let Wlad do the job for him.
It's 2 am so forgive me if this sounds a bit retarded, but I was thinking about Holyfield and how he's on a path towards terrible health problems.. and I think that if he was involved in a car accident and lost his left hand, it would probably be a positive thing, because it would force him to retire and save his health. But knowing how insane he is at trying to prove people wrong, he probably still wouldn't retire.
Emmanuel Steward always mentions how big Holyfield's ego is when talking about him as a person and I always thought that was interesting. I really wouldn't be shocked to see him fighting at 50 years old still trying to prove people wrong. If Ibragimov did what he was supposed to and pushed to knock him out, maybe Evander would think about retiring. But the way Ibragimov fought him, Holyfield in his mind probably thinks he could have won the match if he just did things differently.

Your post doesn´t sound retarded to me. I wouldn´t wish that Holyfield lost any hands, though - but I don´t think you are wishing that for him either. I´ll just say that you are wrong about one thing - Holy wouldn´t retire even if Ibragimov had knocked him out!

Yeah, you're probably right about that. I get angry and sad thinking about seeing him in a few years looking like Joe Louis when he was old. A legend and a good person that just has too big of an ego to quit.

I remember Holyfield saying his God is stronger than Tyson's so he knew he'd win. Whatever gives you that drive I guess.
As for Wlad-Holyfield...sure fucking hope not.

I am sick of Holyfield.
Bring it on.
He would probably survive, but a crushing knockout could stop his career.

Joe Louis came back after being champ for 11 and 1/2 years. He needed the money. Even he only lost 2 fights in his comeback. One to
Ezzard Charles, and then to Marciano. He had enough sense to quit after the Marciano fight. He could of stayed on the B circuit and made money, but he did not.

I really hope this fight doesn't happen. Wlad is such a gifted offensive fighter that he could hurt Holyfield really really bad. And Holyfield is too brave to no when too stop. PLEASE DON"T LET THIS FIGHT HAPPEN!

Were asleep, dumb, or retarded on Saturday when Oldyfield got destroyed by Ibragimov, the worst of the 4 heavyweight champs? Please don't ask stupid questions.

There is no talk about that in Germany.
WK wants to fight Ibragimov and come to New York this week, talking with HBO to make the fight Klitschko/Ibragimov.

rather see them hang the gloves up tbh. too many old men cluttering up the sport as it is, jones-trinidad for instance is a fight that i have no interest in whatsoever.

If Holy INSISTS on still fighting....then why not Golota? Makes sense now, and they haven't fought yet. I'd say either Golota, toney or maybe Guinn.

Is "Germany" some alter ego of yours? No offense taken but it must be emphazised that you show no respect for other members, suggesting unreal matches and still asking their opinion about it... It would have been a cleaner procedure to post just about a fictional fight between the aforementioned fighters at this stage and how it would unfold... Can it happen in February? No, it can't but Holyfield vs Briggs would be reasonable as both veterans lost similar decisions to Sultan and plan to keep on going for the reasons they feel acceptable.

I have a feeling this one may happen in February.
I´m tired with all the shit about how Holyfield shouldn´t fight and bla bla...if he can have the fight and has licence, shut up. He just went 12 rounds with a world titlist and looked ok.

It is not just your feeling Rumsfeld. It may happen and it can also be a fight wherein both men have to go in to impress, most likely Evander running into a massive punch that would seriously hurt him or equally probable, Andrew getting caught by a left hook standing straight up and a barrage on the ropes following... I bet Evander is already targeting either Golota or Briggs at this stage, no doubts that his "quest" is for the payday too.

Sorry to hear that you are tired. But Holyfield´s present campaign is not only dangerous to himself but to the boxing sport as a whole. If a high-profile fighter like him should suffer some severe injuries or even death(god forbid) then I am sure that some officious politicians will like to see the sport banned. I know that people dies in other sports, but boxing is special because "violence" is involved. And considering the political correct days that we live in, I don´t think that my suggetions are too far off.

I like Wlad, but I would lose a lot of respect for him if he agreed to get into the ring with Holy.
Now Wlad vs Toney? I would pay to watch that.
