you would all say it was because Mayweather lost his drive through retireing or he is over the hill being over 30!! Whats the point? You are all so predictable like that fairy in the ring you all arse lick!! Fuck you all and keep it up Ricky, you are doing your fans proud!!!
You're not saying anything strange here, even if Mayweather beat Hatton then 1million excuses will be there.

Mayweather has only been "retired" for almost 2 months, is only 30, and is considered p4p the best out there. I'm pretty sure no one would make up the excuses you named. Face it, Castillo is old and struggled in his previous fight against a decent opponent. Although I give Hatton credit for beating Tszyu, Kostya was also old and had fought 1 fight in the past 29 months. If Hatton beats Mayweather, any reasonable fan would have to say it was a great victory for Hatton. Meanwhile Hatton fans already have built in excuses for why Ricky will lose(weight, location etc.)

Ricky is a gent. You can tell he is well liked and humble.
Mayweather is a cock sucker with an attitude.
Ricky will get the respect he deserves on ESB.
Does Barrera speak English btw? I hear he is friends with Ricky, but Barrera interviews are always in spanish.
Perhaps they're communicating in the universal language of love making

"Barrera interviews are always in Spanish"
Thats cos he is Mexican legend, and speaking in public is business for him.
PAC isn't speeking Spanish and Morales isn't Philippians's, they are
however educated enough to make some conversation in English.

Relax take a break I'm sorry you lost the dart game last night in the town pub but don't take out your aggressions on us. If Hatton beat Mayweather he would probably be number 2 p4p behind Pacman (depending on what happens with Bhop vs Winky of course) Hatton would also solidify his status as an HOF. Though the only way he would beat Mayweather is if you tie Mayweather's hands behind his back. I think Hatton vs Mayweather would be a solid fight with lots of action because Hatton will force the issue but PBF will probably tattoo Hatton's face on the way in Hatton's jab is probably one of his weakest tools and PBF would pop shot the shit out of him all night. I like Ricky's balls though he's good for the fight game for sure. :good

there will be no real excuses. because the only way ricky wins is if mayweather breaks his leg in the fight. i see ricky getting hit with too many shots and sitting down a couple times. his defense just isnt right for floyds offense.

Scar you have become quite a Hatton convert havent you.:thumbsup
Hatton is alright, even though his style can frustrate me sometimes but he's great for boxing so I must like him regardless. Not to forget that he's a great guy overall anyway. About the excuses, they are there before and after every single boxing fight, so there is no point in bothering about them anyway.

Fine, then whoever wins should get full credit with no excuses. Also, look at Floyd's fights. Besides the fights with Castillo and DLH, he has won all his fights by KO or by a wide margin on the scorecards. He hasn't really had many bad performances. He openly states that he has fought most of his fights with bad hands, but that still hasn't stopped him from dominating.

I generally hate excuses in boxing basically cos there is always something you can blame but you would get more respect if you keep your mouth shut and dont winge. Ofcourse there are a few exceptions but mostly two men agree to fight each other in a ring and 1 comes out victorious and one doesnt thats it, simple.

Ricky does'nt have any skills really, he's just a fast paced fighter with decent power. I notice he has'nt been looking good lately. Any fighter would go down from a shot to the liver any.

Sorry but i find that just stupid, even if you were 100% confident in pbf you wouldnt even consider the possibility of him getting beat, there have been bigger upsets than a hatton win over pbf in boxing history. Iv got full confidence in hatton but nothings 100%.

upsets happen when fighters dont prepare properly
if floyd was to be upset in a fight it would have been vs corley or bruseles
not ricky hatton

Alrite then so what if floyd doesnt prepare properly, my point is nothing is 100% and theres a million things that can go right or wrong for a fighter.

Its great that you have full confidence in Ricky and in some ways yes he can win but its highly unlikely. See I'm a huge fan of Cotto but when looking at a fight from an unbiased mindset I see Cotto losing an SD and I see the same outcome for Hatton. Both men will have difficulty getting on the inside of PBF they will both eat leather all night trying to do so. Now of course Hatton could tie PBF up and bully him a bit possibly land some shots and hurt PBF same for Cotto though with Cotto his jab is an added incentive. I'm not much of a Hatton fan and I don't like his style but he does have a shot at PBF because he is an elite fighter wheter you like his style or not. Though I find many of his country men overrate him in every way possible. :yep

When any fighter loses, there is always a certain number of fans that are quick to make excuses for their guy. And it would be no different for Mayweather.
There is a disease that is rampant among many boxing fans where their judgment is clouded to such a degree that it's not possible for their fighter to actually lose legitimately. Similarly, they can't possibly give credit to the guy who beats their fighter.
Which is why before a big fight you always see somebody create a thread called "<insert fighter's name> excuse thread." They know there is going to a barrage of excuses from the fighter's fans on why he lost, and how it isn't really a fair and legitimate loss due to those excuses.

mmmmmmm..
Now when was the last time we saw Ricky sit down a couple of times ??
very intriguing..........
Floyds offenseis notthat great when the opponent fights back a great deal.......... Floyd may just have to trade a bit to win this one..
Then he may just get a shock.......:hey

Okay i might have been over exagerating in my %100 confidence , itll be the toughest fight hes ever faced and itll be bloody hard , but its possible hell win thats my point its the fact that some people have this thing of no intelligent discussion or even half decent banter , just state it as fact that he wont win which is just well stupid.

Yes I too find it frustrating when some posters just all out dismiss a fighters chances at another elite....especially when both fighters are undefeated and in their primes. Don't take all the posters seriously though I know plenty of them are out there to bust your balls, hey even I do it from time to time so tuck your chin and come out swinging.;)

As much as i would love to see Floyd lose I am pretty confident that hatton isn't the man to do it. He comes in to wild, his aggressiveness is good, but he smothers his own punches and its alot easier for his clinching style to work with fighters with slower feet than his. Floyd is faster in every aspect and will just simply out move and out box Hatton. Hatton will look good in spirts but would not be able to tie up Mayweather long enough to do enough damage. The ring will be huge and mayweather will have a lot of room to run around. Hatton will eat alot of leather trying to come in and end up grasping for air. I think Floyd wins easy UD. Hatton will find it alot harder to clinch with someone who has faster feet than he does. Oh an please don't make up excuses when Hatton loses. I'm not a real fan of either fighter, but i hate to hear everyones excuse.

Should be a good scrap either way, Mayweather is an advanced version of Collazo though a bit less engaged and a bit more crafty making it a good battle of two champs.

mayweather's simply a genius and he wins this fight.however i think hatton's style does give him difficulties.hatton will have trained like never before for this fight and there were signs his intensity and drive had returned against castillo.he is a lot smarter and intellegent fighter than some on here realise his trainer graham will have studied literally hundreds of hours of pbf's fights and they will have definite fight plan for hatton to follow, these guys shouldn't be underestimated.i think it is hatton's speed of foot and general intensity which can draw floyd into enough close quarter encounters to make him uncomfortable.hatton is a lot quicker than de la hoya, baldomir and castillo.the thing is mayweather is so gifted in all aspects of the art that he simply copes and usually with a little bit to spare.even on the inside he's good enough and his power is underrated he did hurt oscar and even though hatton's chin is sound you wouldn't rule out the possibility of him knocking hatton out.i would take pbf by ud or late stoppage.to answer the question if hatton were to win he would be top 3 pfp and definitely be considered a top 10 all time british great.

If Floyd wins.-Hatton was overated so this win means nothing.(Floyd should pretend the fight is difficult an make Ricky look good, he'll get more credit that way). He made Hatton fight at welter where he's no good!
If Hatton wins-Floyd was past it! This win means nothing!
He made Floyd fight at light welter-he was weight weakened!
He fouled an clinched his way to victory-home town judges an overly lennient refs blah blah fucking blah!
I guarrentee you neither guy will get any credit afterwards which is a shame. Fighters risk their health and reputation all the time but often don't seem too get the credit.
