if you look in the bottom corner of most rings, there is an expandable pipe that can be used

 I think he's joking. Fighters don't drink heaps of fluids just minutes before the fight, they drink heaps of fluids hours before. By the time of the fight they don't need to go. They're losing heaps of fluid in sweat during the fight so only in extreme circumstances would they have to go.

LOL, funny thread. I heard a story of a guy who was fighting (obviously) and got hit just right in the stomach, and started shitting everywhere. The ref had to stop it because people were puking, and the shit was getting in the way. I can only imagine the guys wife when he got home and she asks "How did the fight go?":rofl

Noramlly the bathroom is something you take care of before you get in the ring. Also boxers (pro) don't drink much water in between rounds.
Plus the bathroom is the last thing on their minds during a fight.

On a serious note the body is a wonderful machine!

I am surprised that no one hinted of the obvious: the real deal is that when a human/person is in a heightened state mentally and physically certain bodily functions shut down and or turned off by the brain automatically

The brain makes decisions as to what bodily functions are needed for the task at the specific time depending on many things such as, stress, blood pressure, heightened senses, optical stimulations and so on

During a fight/boxing match there is a less possibility of one needing to have a bodily function such as urinating or defecating, unless trauma such as a hard blow to the body or bladder causes the organ to be severely injured temporarily

A mother trying to save her children in a burning home, would not have the urge to perform such a bodily function

If you didn't say it, I would of.
When you're adrenaline is up, body functions do slow down and stop.
When I played football, I never had to go to the bathroom until I was back into the locker room. Never even crossed my mind while on the field. and thats for a few hours, not a few rounds.

My mate swears he needed to take a shit while fighting and he slightly shat his pants. He at least claims to be deadly serious.

Yes, I try to takea number 2 at least twice a day. Oh, you mean in the ring? well, having to pee is part nerves I think, even if you have a completely empty bladder.

Yeah, my human bio teacher told me a couple months ago that when you get nervous you have to pee more or something. So yeah, I guess some boxers would have to pee, but you should be able to hold it.
