yeah it was brutal even though gomez was out of his depth in terms of age and stamina.

but im more impressed by johanneson he was seen as limited and easy to win agains tbut his combo's and defence has improved leaps and bounds. he needs to sort out that jab but apart from that he is a fighter.

i felt sorry for gomez at the end he was banking on winning

It was a great fight , not quite as good as Jamie Moore v Matthew Macklin from last year .

I thought Gomez won the first 2 rounds and it was close after that. I think Gomez defense nd him shipping cleaner shots than Johanson is what made the difference. The same patern happened throughout each round - Gomez beats on johanson for the first 1-2miniutes, Carl covered up well, not shipping too many, Gomez had little left for the rest of the round and Johansson caught him flush over and over with Gomez doing nothing to block or get out of the way. Johanssons attacks were better timed and composed.

and yeah he won the first 2 rounds and it was far from one sided only at the end carl hit him on the top of the head of gomez's gaurd you could you see that gomez was not as invincible as he looked in the early rounds.

those uppercuts tho:barf sickening

Got to say I appreciate both mens efforts, just like Gatti and Ward neither are world class but you'll get allot more entertainment than a Delahoya-Hopkins fight

I wonder where the is to go for Carl - he got krushed by the Russian, which rules him out of Euro honours, and hes never really goign to get a world title shot

They are talking abotu Johansson-Mitchell which would be a good fight. Not sure kevin mitchells camp will take it though.

Seems a shame for Gomez who beat the guy who's ko'd johannson twice.

He's just had too many wars...

Gomez was always ordinary but had a big following, it was great to be in the audience to see his crowd shut up.

I scored Gomez the first round clear but gave Johanesson the rest (maybe a shared second). Gomez kept trying the same shots but could not get through Carls guard with anything decent while When Carl did open up Gomez took every blow straight to the knee's. The ko was going to come early with Gomez only hope a lucky shot but Carl fought well enough so that ws never going to happen.
