i see you dont run any reason ?
Recently it's that I really don't want to risk running and slipping on the snow which would hold be back if I injured myself. Where I run is cross country mainly. I'll be back to running once the snow is gone.
I've been training frequently though so my fitness hasn't been harmed.

Thanks man, I like to get feedback from people. My training is just basic, I feel that you should set a solid foundation from the start, not be over eager and then leave gaps.

No worries mate.
I'm only young at (16) and just getting fit and starting to become serious about my boxing.
Training for me is basic stuff at the moment, but soon I'm going to be moving into a lot of running and high intensity stuff to get my fitness levels up higher.
Excuse me if it has been said before, but do you fight? If so how's your record, and age?

I'm 15 and have had 5 fights, lost all of them, mainly by close decision and never stopped. I've learned alot from those fights though and most of them have been against fighters with slightly more experience. My main aim is to improve as a fighter, what better way to do it than train hard and come back stronger for each fight?

Yeah mate, very true, train hard - if you want to go far in boxing you need to put in the effort, if you don't put in the effort you won't go anywhere.
Have confidence in yourself mate, you can do it, best of luck for your upcoming fights.

It really felt so good, it was a home show and I had all of the coaches from other clubs, my friends, my club members and their friends cheering for me. Got the only stoppage win of the show! Hard work is beginning to pay off!

A guy can still only use two hands wherever they are. There are guys who train like animals everywhere, there are slackers everywhere. Train right and your coach can tell you when you're ready.

I've been lucky to have a good trainer like I have now (my dad).
He's been there done that, and still trains like a machine even though he is 51.
I suppose that's were I get my passion and hunger. I'll always train hard (well that's my main goal)

Pretty much just pull-ups but just to one side and alternate with each rep, I'm not quite strong enough to do 3x10 of thew variation you mentioned but I'm doing my best to get there! It's one of the steps to doing the unasisted one hand variation which is just crazy....it's one of my aims for this year! I'm a shortass for my weight in the amatuers so physical training is very important to me.
Thanks alot for the comment.

I could never do more than 5 of the kind I mentioned lol. Those side to sides you did (I always called them cliffhangers) are great. The one-hand is insane but if you're short then you've got a good shot at doing it. Most guys who do them are shorter folks.
Doing one-handed negatives off of those pullups is cool too. It's more like a controlled fall for me though lol.

Yea the drops are another good exercise! I never get as much time to achieve my physical aims unfortunately because I end up having fights and not wanting to do strength training near a fight, but slowly and surely I'm getting there!

I'm not telling anyone about it, I'm keeping it on here because I like the lay out and it's easy for me to track.

No need to trash him man. This is a pretty good layout to keep track of workouts and whatnot to see what works and what does not work. Also, it may motivate/help new guys.
Anyways, thanks for the training diaries donboxer lol. I will use them. Kinda sick of the paper and pen these days.

The guy above me is right, in that it has motivated me to train harder after seeing how hard you train and how dedicated you are, seeing as I think we are around the same age (did I see you mention somewhere that you are around 15/16?).
Keep going man, you've convinced me that I can achieve my goals. I wish you all the best mate.

Looking back on this training makes it look pathetic, I'm working twice has hard now but thanks. All the best in achieving your goals. It's a tough road but it's worth it.
