A third fight could have been made on DLH's say so, but he was unwilling to let Mosely get a deserved piece of the pie, offering Mosely just a little more than what he got for the 2nd fight............DLH was to make 3 or more times what Mosely was being offered for a third match, and it was Mosely who had twice beat him!The reality is that DLH could have made any fight that he wanted to make, if it did'nt happen its because DLH was making these fighters a slap in the face offer meant to be turned down!50/50 or close to that would have landed a Trinidad offer anytime DLH wanted it, but DLH insisted that he make significantly more against a fighter who had beat him.Mosely was'nt even asking for parity, and DLH was still slapping him in the face at the negotiating table!

Mosley. DLH fought well early, but Mosley landed the better shots.
i couldent argue with the result in the first fight but having watched the second fight on several occasions i believe dlh won.

Who beat who last is important in negotiating fights, but there is little to no doubt that De La Hoya is the draw. He is the reason the numbers are huge. Because of this he simple deserves a bigger piece of the pie so to speak

I thought Mosley won both fights, and would certainly win the third.

DLH knew he could not beat either Sugar or Tito so he priced himself out of the picture. SBA baby.
tito moved up weight to avoid sugar.
Shane CLEARLY won the first fight.
Oscar just won the second IMO.

DLH was never going to perform any better against Mosley than he did in their rematch (which Mosley still won, anyway).
He caught Mosley at one of the lowest points of his career in terms of confidence, and throughout the bout, Mosley showed improvement and seemed to regain that confidence.
A third bout would have seen Mosley win even more convincingly than he had in their previous two contests.
Mosley is simply the better fighter, plain and simple.

Mosleys body work and Oscar again running out of gas is why Mosley won again. Mosley proved he was the better fighter. Oscar continually proves he just can't go a full 12 rounds without tiring. He usually slows down around the 9th round. Mosley won the 2nd fight in the later rounds. Close but the right decision ws made. 17 out of 28 sportswriters at ringside had Mosley. Burt Sugar and Nigel of Ring Magazine also had Mosley along with Lennox Lewis and mickey Ward who were also at ringside. A couple of sportswriters at ringside said if you would have heard the grunts and groans coming from Oscar when those body shots were landing you would have had a tough time giving the fight to Oscar. Those body shots were vicious.

I have to side with Jack Prescott on disbelieving that assumption of yours, Relentless... Tito moved up to 160 pounds in 2000 and he never came back to 154 pounds ( not even to fight Mayorga) - Tito and Don were looking on the unification fight between Winky and Shane at Ringside but they took the winner Winky at 160 pounds still, Tito couldn't come back to Junior Middle.
I also would like to say that all three judges scored it 115-113 for Shane and since the scorecards are collected after each round, there's no indication that that particular score didn't reflect what happened in the ring... I give the benefit of the doubt for what somehow seemed to be making for Shane's 2nd loss to Forrest ( 113-115 in all three judges cards). Either way, Hoya was rocked with a opening hook in the first stanza and after that, fought all the time cautious behind the left lead and the trademark left hook whereas Shane hammered on his body and face with right bombs and if his power was enhanced by illegal supplements, his boxing ability was not - he and Gary Shaw should have taken the 10 million bucks from Oscar for a third fight in spite of facing the man Oscar didn't only for 3 million.

It seems that George Foreman, Jim Lampley and Harold Lederman were hard of hearing and mightly upset with the decision but you can understand why - never would Mosley have the likes of Christina Aguillera on black bra screaming like that or Marc Anthony&JLo jumping on their seats or both the Mexican, American anthems sang in one hell of an HBO Broadcast with slight reminiscenses of a major 90s Pop Show...

"Superior Genetics, from a Black Fighter who is bigger, stronger and faster, and better technically. A lot of Oscar's male fans have a hard time swallowing that. (No pun intended)
Mosley bigger than Oscar? :huh

Lets see.
Mosley kicked DLH's ass as teenagers. In the amatuers. Twice as proffesionals. And even in sparring. I think we all know how a rubbermatch would have turned out. :yep
I have to agree with Jack and Shane Mosley, Winky Wright, George Foreman, Lampley and may others, DLH won very clear.

What does my ethnicity have anything to do with this match-up? Im just going with what history has told us about Shane and Oscar. They been on opposite sides of the ring at least 8 times with 2 coming as proffesionals. And each one of those times Mosley got the better of DLH.

They supposedly fought when Shane was 15 and Oscar was 13.
Then they fought again in 2000 right after DLH was ROBBED against Trinidad. (I don't blame Tito, I blame Don King)
Then they rematched and DLH clearly won.
So what was your point?
Look, it's obvious you dislike DLH, and the obvious reason you and most Puerto Ricans dislike him are because
1. You guys know he beat Trinidad.
2. Most of the fans and public know he beat Trinidad and it irritates you guys.
3. Tito got a gift descision, resorts to cry, and has a huge parade in PR when the entire world knows he just received a gift.

Oscar and Mosley sparred a lot in the 90's, in Pomona and the Main St. Gym in Los Angeles. And he's right, Mosley used to get the best of Oscar during that time. good God man, can't you ever beleive your Golden Fishnet ever loses?
He's not God, he's just a guy who is a very good fighter who likes to dress up like a fag, (or is one, we don't know for sure yet) wearing womens undies and nets. He lost to Trinidad, in fact he has lost every time he has fought the elite, the very very best. He's 0 and 5 against them. Or I suppose you think he won those 5 fights too    . Especially the one where he rolled around on the mat screaming fuk, fuk in that high-pitched faggy voice of his (That voice kinda goes along with the fishnets). Now that was really funny.
Hopefully you can see the humor in that.

Sugar Shane and DLH 1 was a great fight, SSM narrowly outpointed Hoya
The second I thought Shane came on strong late but was thoroughly outboxed up until his late surge

I had it 5-7 for Mosley but could see a draw as well. Oscar clearly won the first half and Mosley completey dominated the last quarter and won 4 other close rounds.
The second fight I think I had it 8-4 for De La Hoya.

sorry UliUli but those 10 second flurries of Oscars just don't mean anything in the judges eyes. And that is part of Oscars problem. He waits until there are 10 seconds to go and flurries away, raises his arms when the bell sounds and all the little girl teenyboppers scream away. The judges yawn and think oh no not again. It gets old Uli and I'm really surprised you fall for such a childish silly attempt to steal rounds. As Arum says "Oscars not very smart". That's being kind.

Firstly and Foremostly, Oscar won the 2nd fight. I don't give a shit what Lennox or punch drunk Mickey ward say. What? Lennox's word, opinion and judgements are all of a sudden gold when they happen to fit your agenda. Your so transparent its stupid and pointless to argue with you....but I'm bored, so I'll take some time to smack you and your boyfriend around a bit.
Yes, Oscar fades a bit, especially in the Mosley fights. Yes he was throwing 10 second flurries. But he was landing in those flurries. He was beating Mosley to the punch and controlling the fight. I was astonished at the outcome of fight #2.
You can talk all the shit you want about him wearing fishnets....he was doing it with a girl that you, ahem average straight men, sorry, pay a $20 atm charge at 3am to scrape together enough (should be used for rent) money just to sniff her butt in the club :deal Nothing wrong with playing a little dress up :yep If it gets you to where you want to get.
The 3rd Fight:
Oscar would have won......just like he won the 2nd :good

I think that Oscar has above average Boxing I.Q. and a lot of natural talent, he is technically sound and he knows how to put em together. But there's something very wrong about the way he unfolds his strategy throughout the fight if there is any... How could you understand that he was able to hit Mayweather with the sort of shots he threw in the 12th and should have thrown more much earlier and how come he didn't continue to do his number on Tito with beautiful combinations down the stretch? If you didn't execute, you simply cannot expect favors from the judges afterwards...

Man you still defend the golden Fishnet by insinuating he dresses like a woman because he has to so he can get what he wants??  I can see it now. "Oh Oscar honey, you must dress up like a woman to get what you want."
Can't you do better than that? He dresses like a woman and wears makeup because he likes it. He's bi and you know it. And you say it doesn't matter who Lewis and Wright think who won the fight. Sure I'll give you that but the three judges think Mosley won and I really think they know a little more about judging a fight than you do. Mosley wins the third fight. There is no justifilable
reason to think otherwise when Mosley won the first two. Your guy is 0 and 5 against the very best. He's damn good but will never ever go down in history as one of the greats. He isn't quite good enough even with taking every advantage possible. Accept that and move on. It's really fun to put you in your place from time to time. You are kinda like Oscar in one way and it's probably the reason you adore him so much. Neither of you are very smart!

But what is really fucking strange here, KAYGB is his male fanbase, guys like Beware of Dawg. Lets take a look at Beware. An average guy, and an average sports fan. Lets say, Beware and a few of his buddies on a typical summer Saturday afternoon at the local Hooters. The day is beautiful and the women are too. A pitcher of Bud Light, and 40 Nuclear Wings with Ranch Dressing, and say, UCLA and Louisiana playing the big College Football Game on all the screens. Testosterone everywhere, and Beware and his pals hitting on the waitress that they have no chance in Hell of scoring with, but to make a bigger tip, and sucker them out of even more cash, she flirts and laughs with them at the table as she pours them some overpriced draft.
Suddenly, a promo for a DLH fight comes on a commercial. Beware and his buds squeal like little girls at a ****** Timberlake Concert, to the surprise of the sexy blonde waitress in her orange short shorts. Suddenly, they all in unison push them selves away from the table, and make a mad dash for the nearest big screen, knocking down "Candi" and stampeding over her 22 year old tanned and aerobesized hard body in their rush to stand in front of the TV. As she shakes her head in disbelief, and some other normal patrons help her up, as Beware and his strange friends ooh and ahh at the sight of a shirtless de la Hoya on the screen with that fake ass mad look of determination on his face as he makes the ringwalk. Then, just as abruptly, the commercial ends with a reminder that it's 49.95 on PPV, call your local cable operators, ect. and Beware and his friends, as if in a trance, forget what the hell is going on, and wonder why they are standing in front of a Television Screen looking at the UCLA game, while Hooters management is asking them to leave.....Oscarsexuality. :good
