After watching Mundine vs Nievas and every other fight in his career. I have to say he is the quickest boxer i have ever seen and probably of all time.
I can only compare him to Roy Jones Junior but even then Mundine takes the cake.
For all those interested in this thread. Please watch the opening 2 rounds of that fight last night, and tell me, we as viewers can't even see the punch until it makes contact, how could an opponent.
Those opening 2 rounds last night will show you what im talking about.

I will be honest, I have never seen Mundine fight..but it is truly hillarious for me to see some Mundine fans hype this guy the way they do. He was KOed vs Ottke, lost a clear decision against Kessler in his own country/continent, and lost to Manny Siaca. The guy's best wins are over Austrailian known fighters Danny Green and Sam Soliman..the same Sam Soliman who gave Wright "hell" (clear Wright win IMO) and the same Sam Soliman who is going to be on the "Contender" season 3.
Mundine might be a damn good fighter, I have no idea..but how about we see him face some solid world class fighters and actually beat them, eh?

Mundine loses credibility when he fights cans like Nievas..he'll never understand that no-one wants to see him outbox someone who is clearly not elite..it's a waste of time.
As for his speed- he's quite fast, not an ATG though- you got guys like Meldrick Taylor, SRL and these days Malignaggi, PBF, Floyd etc.

I know. It is so embarassing. Mundine is not even the fastest fighter in the SMW. Don't even EVER let me hear you compare him to Roy Jones. Blasphemy. I will say though that the Ottke KO isn't as relevant as some would think, when you consider it was his 11th pro fight and he never had an amatuer career. Still, his performance last night wasn't even good. I can think of quite a few guys who are faster then Choc actually in the world right now. Speed IMO is shown in combinations. Mundine couldn't even string together 3 punches against an opponent of that calibre. It was a joke.

If Jones had of fought Neivas he would have been thrown in jail for manslaughter. IT wouldn't have lasted a round.
There are even a few bigger guys that have faster hands than Mundine, such as Calzaghe at 168 and Chad Dawson at 175.
In terms of one punch he's probably one of the quickest P4P. I think he really struggles putting punches together though, Calzaghe and Dawson are definitely quicker in their combinations. Mundine has so far out-sped all of his opponents.

Watch the first two rounds of last nights fight and then get back to me everyone. I put in the effort watching tapes of Hatton, Mayweather, Hopkins etc. Well you guys put in some effort and watch mundines speed in the opening rounds last night.

No one said hes a roy jones. I said he is fast, extremely fast. Probably the fastest since RJJ and then i think hes still faster than them when compared. Once again. Watch his jab in the opening rounds last night.
Actually he is the fastest in Australia but not by much. Jamie Pittman is very quick, and I would rate his speed right up there with Chocs.

Take a look at some of the lowest weight divisions and I'm sure that you will find a lot of fighters that are faster.

Its nice when boxers have loyal supporters and its good to see boxers with great talent get recognition but damm i hate all the stupidity about by the followers of certain boxers. Mundine is currently making a living from fighting bums or second/third level fighters to make him lok good and invincible. When he seps up he looks ordinary.
