on the castillo (jose luis's younger brother) undercard at the morongo.....it was his first 6 rounder and i heard it was a hell of a fight that could've gone either way...i didnt see it for myself ( i got caught up at work), but people were saying he won, but that the judges didnt enjoy his style too much....i guess he was outboxing him and slugging it out once in a while...josh hasn't answered my calls so i'm a bit worried about his way of thinking right now.....but that performance landed him a fight on the jose luis castillo undercard this saturday....
this is from FIGHTNEWS
JOSH IS REALLY 5-1 WITH 5KO'S THOUGH....THEY HAVN'T FIXED THAT YET
Valverde defeats Marks in a close one
Christian Valverde (9-0, 4 KO's) won a split decision over Joshua Marks (3-1, 3 KO's) with scores of 59-55, 58-56 (Valverde) and 59-55 (Marks). Valverde and Marks slugged it out at a non stop pace. Marks boxed and used his speed well as Valverde came forward using his power and strength. It was a close fight with both men fighting with a hungry demeanor.

Ok, i remember now. You spoke of him previously. I am curious how his mental state is at the moment. Do you think he is mentally tough enough to absorb a defeat? some are not

I think Joshua knows he really won so it shouldn't affect him according to Freddy.

Like Floyd said: True champions can bounce back from a loss. I am very confident if Josh doesn't give up and keeps on working he will have a very good career.

That's good to hear. Robberies like that can really effect a young fighter.

If he has an exciting style the crowd loves, he'll get a good reputation and will never have problems getting fights. If he wins more then he loses, which is pretty clear he will, he'll get some regional title and possibly even world title looks. I wish your boy the best, would love to see a video.
PS, how can Boxrec mess up his name and record so bad?
