Well, considering that Ike took everything that Tua could throw and then beat Tua, I think he could definetly take Ruddocks punch. It would have been a classic fight for sure. Two bangers, one with a granite chin, the other a decent chin going at it for suprimacy. I see Ike winning in a thrilling 9 th round ko or tko.

Ruddock's the more proven fighter. Ibeabuchi basically had TWO fights with top level fighters, and the Tua fight could have gone either way. He's ridiculously overrated based on what he actually did in the ring. Ruddock KO 6

Pretty reasonable scenario.

Out of curiousity who do you think is the bigger puncher?

Ruddock or Tua?

Ruddock could have possibly stayed on the outside and boxed to a decision.

Ruddock is one of the most overrated heavyweights in recent times. He never really beat anyone, if you think about it. He brutally KOed a past his prime Michael Dokes and that's it. Lost to Tyson, twice, lost to L. Lewis, badly and lost to Morrison. I think the only proven thing about Ruddock is he wasn't all he was cracked up to be.

Ike by KO. And Ike wasn't really "proven" either, but at least he beat Tua and Byrd.

Ruddock WAS overrated, that's true. But at least he actually fought some top fighters. Ibeabuchi fought a bunch of stiffs, got a very close - and debatable - decision over Tua, and knocked out Byrd, who wasn't really a natural HW. Ruddock's not that great, true, but at least he was in contention for a while, not just a "flash in the pan."

Ike would knock him out in the 3rd, Ruddick being idiot he is would try trading with Ike which would lead to the KO. When Patterson was in his corner he rarely listened too him, he usually did the opposite. The fight would end early with a brutal knockout.

There is no shame in Losing to Tyson and Lewis (both ATGs) and Morrison. With the exception of Lewis where it was over pretty quickly he was competitive with Tyson and Morrison. I think he deserves a little credit.

QFT. As someone who has seen almost all of Ike's fights and seen him live quite a few times, he is the most OVERRATED FIGHTER of the past 15 years.

He would have lost numerous times if he would have continued to fight.

And for the record, Tua beat him. :yep

Maybe so, but if a Tua left hook can't get it done. A Ruddock Smash can't either.

The thought of this fight had me drooling! Both guys, without question, would DOMINATE today. I think the Razor that fought in the first Tyson fight takes it (I think that fight completely ruined both men) . . . this is one of those dream match-ups that should have happened

I go with razor ruddock on this one, would be a good fight , even if ruddock went down he seemed to like getting up n smiling as if he heard a good joke, any way im not convinced ike had the hang tough for this fight. The tua fight was mean and ive watched a few times, but it was his only one he was tested in and it was close, ruddock always left all or nothing even when he got bombd out..
