I would...man, after being banned from fighting in NY, having to listen to all those people say that he couldnt do it (i am one of those people), damn it would be great to see him make it back on top of the hill (and hopefully retire). Ive never been a big fan of holy (but i have all the respect for his heart and stature as an atg), but I want him to win a title.
I want him to be happy with his induction into the boxing hall of fame and retire.

I love the guy although he's mad.
He's fighting. In an ideal world he'd be retired. But as long as he's fighting...yeah, I would. I would like to see him win a title.

I would like to see him have a happy life while still having what's left of his marbles.

Yeah buddy! Give em hell Holyfield.

Yep. I'd like his first defence to be Mike Tyson.
Then Larry Holmes.
Follow it up with a rematch for Buster Douglas, and that should be a career for him.

How the hell could you forget Holyfield-Bowe IV!!
Sad part is is that most people would actually watch all of those fights..I sadly regret that I would. I wouldn't pay 50 bucks but I'd probably go see it live if it near my area :patsch

Nope I would rather see him take a big enough beating to bring him back to his senses

Well, it might finally make some of the doubters recognize he was the best HW since Holmes.

i don't agree with that one. but i think it'll tell people that the last generation of HWs really WAS that much better than todays.

I guess I would like to see him win another one, but why is he fighting in the first place? I actually hope he loses just so his career can hopefully come to an end and escape anymore prolonged beatings.
I'd love to but it's not going to happen, Holy is better off retiring.

Holy is clearly fighting in the wrong generation as his time was the 80's and 90's. I think it would be downright unbelievable if he were to somehow pull it out against Ibragimov and I would love to see it happen. USA vs. USSR and who better to represent us than one of America's greatest heroes. Ibragimov's no slouch so it would be a nice win for Holyfield. We shall see. He's gotta beat Savarese first.

I would like to see him have a happy life while still having what's left of his marbles.
The thing is, those two things don't go together so well for a guy like Holy. Yes, Holyfield's health would benefit from him retiring, but a guy like Holyfield would rather be beaten up in the ring and keep fighting, then sit around the house and try to perserve what remains of his mental abilities.

I'd love it if he could win a HW belt then announce his retirement. It would be a great way to go out.
Instead, I can only see a bad beating sometime in his future...either in going for a belt, or in trying to unify because it's certain that Holyfield will not call it a day if he finally wins one back. He'll see that as enough justification to carry on for a number of years, and a number of losses.

Go Holyfield. Would be nice to see him with a belt. And then retire.

Its well possible.

Ive never been a big fan of holy (but i have all the respect for his heart and stature as an atg), but I want him to win a title.no, I wouldn't. First, he hasn't beaten anyone near the top 20 in his comeback to warrant a title shot. 2 he's a cheater, at best head butts, and likely a steroid user. He's been a dirty fighter his hole career.

I would like to see this be is last fight, win or lose. I dont beleive he can win, but if ever he does i will become hysterical and talk about him to my great great grandchildrens.

Absolutley!
Why would anyone not want to see Evander win another title?
All the power to him,I say.
I hope Holyfield achieves his dream.

Lemme tell you, if Holyfield wins, there won't be ANY debate about who the greatest HW of the last 20 years was. :yep

It will say a lot more about the calibre of the division than Holyfield. He's a glorified journeyman right now, as sad as that is to say.

Sort of in line with this sentiment, I feel that Sultan boxing his ears off (and possibly stopping him) is not only the likely outcome but far better for boxing right now.

Emphatic no.
He said he will not retire until he is UNDISPUTED champ again. Taking a side trinket like the WBO belt would only encourage him to go after harder punchers in the division. I do NOT want to see a 45-year old Holyfield facing off against Wladimir Klitschko.
I just want him to retire, save his health and spread his wealth to his children, and enjoy looking back on the REAL glory days.

Does anyone else think Holyfield hasn't actually declined that much in the last 5 years? By that rationale, if he feels okay still, he should continue fighting. He won't win a title though.
