Why the hell would anyone want to see these guys fight again, let alone see Chris Bryd fight ever again.

Well it goes something like this. Maskev and Peter fight for the WBC belt next, whenever that happens, with Vitlai getting the winner which could be as late as June 2008.
Vitali has said he wants to fight in February 2008, possibly on the under card of Wlad's next fight. I have heard some speculation that Vitlai wants Chirs Byrd almost as bad has he wants Lennox Lewis. Byrd for his part is in boxing for the money. He'll fight Vitlai in Germany because if he somehow wins, he gets the winner of Maskeav vs Peter, which is a winnable fight for Byrd.
The fight makes sense.

t really dosen't make sense. Byrd just lost his last fight to a guy with only 13 pro fights. Byrd's skills are clearly diminishing. He hasn't really looked impressive since his win over an old Holyfield. Byrd needs to heg it up.
Revenge, Delusion and Money are three key ingredients that make boxing world go round. Vitlai K vs Chris Byrd II touches all three bases.

Boxing fans dont want to see it, Bryd wasnt popular with fans when he was in his prime, who the hell would pay to see him looking like shit in the ring?

Byrd should try to get a few $ fights that won't leave him daim bramaged before he retires.
Vit Klit would slaughter Byrd. I don't want to see that.

Byrd should just run around the ring, forcing Vitlay to use his injured knee/back whatever it is tomorrow, to its maximum.
How funny would another Vitlay retirement on the stool due to injury be???
Byrd was beaten badly in his last couple fights, another beating from Vitaly won't do him any good. The only good thing is watching his wife when he loses.

The thought of Vitaly on the same card with Wlad is enticing. The problem is will Vitaly ever get in the ring again? A bout between he and Byrd isn't high on my personal wish list of fights but it does make some sense. I highly doubt this fight happens.

like many im a big vitali fan but at this point ive given up on him fighting again. if he does, it'll be a bonus. once is ok, twice is a coincidence, three times is bad luck but after four and five pullouts its clear his body cant make it through a training camp which is a shame. Vitali needs to 'shit or get off the pot' :yep

As has been said, Rahman is Vitali's obvious and best choice.
A Byrd rematch, after Byrd was just beaten by the still green Povetkin, would be a terrible move for Vitali. He might as well fight some bum off the street, than to fight Byrd after he's no longer credible. Povetkin ruined the Byrd name in one fight.
VK vs. Rahman is what I'd like to see for VK's comeback. Rahman is not a world dominator, but is still credible enough to be seen as a ballsy choice for VK after surgery and being idle for three years plus. Not to mention that they have somewhat of a history together from their fight that never happened.
not to mention Rachman has been active and seems to be getting in good shape and keeping his weight in check. That at least makes it credible

If I was Rahman, no way in hell would I sign for this fight.
How many times has Vit broken a contract with him before? Four or Five?
Only an out and out mug would sign another, unless there was a percentage of the fee still to be paid even IF Vitlay pulled out for the sixth time.

Exactly, hes already fucked Rahman over like 3 or 4 times now. I would make him sign a contract were Vitali still has to pay if he backs out again, hes too fragile now to make it out training camp anyways.

Chris Byrd is not even as good as he used to be and will be brutally ko'd by Vitali.
Even current version of Byrd can make Vitaly miss a few and tweak a knee. That would be some sad picture to behold.
I think Vitaly is done in - by his knees and his back. He should duct tape himself and brutally KO S. Peter - or bring Maskaev some nice payday and then retire.

my guess is rahman, it would be quite an event, maybe not like two years ago but still good.
