Would Tubbs, who had better skills, beat Williams, who had a stronger jab, in a 15 round fight?

I see surprise here, Tubbs KO1. TNT did occasionally start fast and Williams always needed a couple of rounds to warm up...

Did Tubbs ever knock out anyone early that was a quality fighter--i did not check boxrec but would be surprised it this result could happen
The Truth was susceptible to the left hook --did Tubbs possess this weapon?
Curious if anyone say Williams fight Bruno or Witherspoon and in his prime how would the truth have done against these two fighters?

Both fighters were part of that crop of excellent boxers from the early 1980's (Thomas, Berbick, Witherspoon, Bruno, Tubbs etc) who were not exceptional but strong fighters with solid boxing skills. Can't call it.

Can't see Tony stopping Carl, especially around 1985, and it would probably go to the distance, with Carl edging him out.

what a prediction , did Bruno or Morison whom were fast starters and harder punchers manage 2 do it 2 a well past his prime Williams ?
some claim that tyson's 1st rd stoppage over him was premature and unjust .

my prediction is that Williams wins a decision whether it is 4 10 , 12 or 15 . Tubbs unable 2 reach him often enough nor hard enough . Williams is able 2 reach Tubbs .

Weaver got to him early too. But obviously Hercules and Tyson were far bigger punchers than Tubbs.

Although Tubbs should rate higher, I'm inclined to going with the Truth by a narrow decision. Carl was in better shape for most of the duration that these guy's careers coincided, had the reach and was on an equal plane in terms of boxing skill... Left hookers with power behind their shots, was William's biggest achilles heel, and that doesn't describe Tubbs.. In addition, Carl had a pretty nasty right hand himself and probably the second best left jab of the 80's, falling second best only to Holmes'. neither man had wins that were particularly stellar and in fact, probably beat comparable opposition.. I see nothing that Tubbs has over Truth, asside from briefly holding a belt, which he won over a man that Carl would have likely beaten himself.
