[quote]After defeating Jose Luis Castillo with a spectacular fourth round KO on Saturday, Ricky Hatton made it clear the fighter he wanted next is Floyd Mayweather Jr. Mayweather Jr is angered by comments Hatton made and now seems intent on facing the undefeated UK based fighter. Also it seems that Oscar De La Hoya is hinting that he would like to fight Hatton in England ([Only registered and activated users can see links]).

De La Hoya has indicated in the last few months that he'd face Hatton. Quoted in the media this week, De La Hoya stated: "Ricky Hatton and I could fill [England's] Wembley Stadium."

Leonard Ellerbee, friend and mamager to Mayweather Jr. told the media why Mayweather Jr. has had a change of heart in facing Hatton, saying: "What prompted [negotiations with Hatton] is, over the last couple of weeks, Ricky Hatton
has been saying a lot about Floyd Mayweather."

Ellerbee added: "He's used Floyd's name to promote himself, and then he said … Saturday night that he had
more excitement in four rounds than Floyd had in his career. To say that … is very disrespectful."

Ellerbee concluded: "Floyd heard him say that on HBO, and said, 'OK, be careful what you ask for.' He's calling Hatton's bluff, and now the whole world will see if this guy wants to fight and sign a contract now.

We can definitely make it happen this year. The ball's in their court."

Imagine Oscar comes along and takes this fight from Floyd..

There's no reasonable catchweight for Hatton and DLH to meet IMO.

147 is the only weight it could be made ..

Can DLH even make that weight? One guy possibly can't make it, and the other is too small for WW. Hopefully this is a pipedream.

Good, Oscar will make GUARANTEED PAYDAY for Hatton AFTER PBF.:good
Does ricky have to go to 54??? Oscar should be promoting SSM vs PBF.

Mayweather vs Hatton is CLEARLY the matchup and a PROFITABLE one at that.

DLH vs Hatton is nothing more than hype, this fight will not happen. Whats more likely is that Hatton will become a Golden Boy as his promotional contract is due.

If I'm Hatton, I'm looking at a catchweight of 150lb against Oscar - big paycheque against a guy he should feel like he can beat... then he's got the world on his doorstep after the fight

But I've got a suspicion Hatton sees Floyd as the more beatable opposition (due to size)

This is a LEGACY fight between PEERS and big money fight. This will be a BIG victory fore the WInner. Any real CHAMPION would want this fight, with PBF vs HATTON.

But, EITHER WAY??It's not the end of the line for the VICTOR

150 I highly doubt Hatton agrees to that since he struggled at 147 ..But fighting Oscar will surly make him change his mind ..

De La Hoya needs to take his $30 something million from the Mayweather fight, buy himself another dog to play with, buy another car for his wife and retire. Fighting Mayweather would do more for Hattons legacy than De La Hoya, De La Hoya is washed up now, he moved up in weight to get knocked out by Bernard Hopkins, moved down in weight to lose to Mayweather, he's done.

DLH made upwards of $45 Million. Fighting Mayweather right now would risk a chance at the "CASH COW" that is the Golden boy. Hatton wants a HUGE payday just like Floyd recvied.

If he fights Floyd now the demand for Hatton - DLH in the future wouldn't be there.

Right now the demand is there b/c Floyd had a REALLY close fight with DLH and if Hatton can actually BEAT DLH it would set up an even BIGGER match up between Floyd and Hatton.

Now think about if Hatton acutally KO's DLH (to the body :rofl ) That would make a Hatton - Mayweather Meeting a MEGA fight!

Which would line Hatton's pockets TWICE as nicely. This is also a business! hatton is smart....just as Mayweather was. They both want their legacy, they both are undefeated and they both have (and had) as shot at DLH.

Given that the fight with Floyd and Oscar was very close Hatton is looking at this opportunity to show Maywather up. Ego's in boxing are as big as the Empire state Building.

So Oscar could fight the winner makes all the sense in the world ..Hatton could still get the fight he wants at Wembley even if he loses to Floyd ..A win win for Oscar and Hatton imo .

Oscar won't fight Floyd again and Floyd would most definitly beat hatton. Hatton will go for what he thinks will be easier and will make the most financial sense.

Oscar cannot make 147. It would have to be at 154.

I'm actually agreeing with you.....It could be at a catch weight under 154 but Oscar would mostly likely be calling the shots as usual.

This thread just shows how truly stupid all of you are. When PBF fans defend PBF for going for the money by looking for bigger names instead of tougher challengers, you blast us saying that we shouldn't be worried about his checkbook. But now you cum guzzlers are saying Hatton should take the fight that makes the most sense for him financially. HAHAHAHAHA. Suck my dick.

:nono :patsch idiot
