At middleweight, 12 rounds. Who takes it?

B-Hop takes this one by stoppage, I think.

I had to think over this one for a while. I think Zale would potentially pose stylistic probs for Hopkins- he was a tremendous body puncher, had great stamina, chin and almighty punch resistance. As well as that he was able to seriously bang himself. I think B-Hop escapes from this with a decision, anything less than tip-top form, though and Zale could well capatilize. Tough to call.

At 12 rounds, as specified, I tentatively go with Hopkins by decision. (Over 15rounds, I would select Zale, but that wasn't the question asked.)

Hopkins stops Zale. He was too primitive and easy to hit for a master like Hopkins. Bernard would wear him down and force the referee to stop it to save Zale.

I am a big fan of Zale. Hopkins was a class above, though, and it would be a clinic. Zale would eat too much leather as the rounds wore on and I see him getting stopped.

Zale is equally if not more rough, strong and hard punching as Echols. Hops eventually embarrassed Antwun but was given some tough moments.
Bernard wins fairly wide in the end...but I dont think its an absolute clinic. Zale isnt as up right and predictable as Pavlik or Taylor.

When was Hopkins not in tip-top form against a top opponent? Zale will give him a fight but in the end Hopkins wins a clear UD. Something like 8-4.
