I dont know if this is just me being silly but what about this wacky idea that all boxing fights should have the same purse structure in the pro ranks. A 65/35 split with the winner of a fight getting 65%. The more you win the more you earn.

With all this talk about Hatton-Mayweather money, why dont we just settle the dispute with the above proposal. Hell, its so simple it could work with any fight. Lets challenge all these so called warriors and let them prove that they deserve the title. If your a true warrior then surely you think your gonna win so this structure shouldnt upset you because guess what your confident of winning anyway. Maybe then we can concentrate on making the best fights happen.

However, surprise surprise I have an idea for that too.

All the major bodies forget their egos and distrust and years of hatred to form one super body, relieving the boxing world of this pathetic alphabet system whereby belts no longer mean anything. One list of ranking for each division such as in Tennis. But the thing is you havent got to dread when mandatory challenger time comes around because guess what the top 10 callengers in ranking should be similar to the top 10 boxers in the weight class, unbelievable I know. Also champions wont have to drop belt every five minutes to get a good fight.

Its a shame that it makes too much sense for it to actually work in the real world. Too many egos, money grabbers, pretenders, liars, cheats for it to happen within the next 100 years. Maybe us fans could do something to achieve a change but What?

Haha, I guess the world a ready for a real shake up then. Maybe people actually do enjoy arguing about who should get nore money and how one fighter is dodging another.

Ideas like this have been floated around for years. Tell us how you're actually going to realistically get in done and you might get some attention.

Also as regard the tennis analogy, thats poor as tennis pros play regualrly on tour in tournaments against each other it's completely different to boxing no weight divisions to start with.

thats the thing with one organisation, every weight class would have 1 official list of rankings. So not only do you have the top contenders fighting each other to get a title shot but fighters wont be able to avoid opponents because it easy to see who they should be facing.

Maybe I am too simple minded but it just smacks of common sense yet even though people complaint about alphabet titles and certain fights not being made there seems to be no support from fans or boxers to change. I guess its fans who have to put pressure on fighters to I guess shame them into challenging the organisations and promoters into reforming. Really there needs to be more pressure from the boxing press too as they have the power o push this kind of agenda. Its just a shame that the sport isnt as big as it should be and its all down to the corruption and confusion in the sport. You can blame schools no longer having boxing to an extent but if kids dont grow up watching boxing and knowing who the best fighters are. For example when I was younger I always thought Prince Naz was the best fighter, I hadnt even realised there was an elite group such as barerra and Morales and so on. I felt cheated because there were these great fighters that being in the UK I wasnt exposed to and I was truly missing out.
