Gennady Golovkin :happy

9-0 with 8 KO's and he fought Andy Lee in the amateurs and beat him 29-9...29-9 :deal and also beat IBF Super Middleweight Titlist Lucian Bute..not just beat him, but knocked him out in the 4th round.

And beat Andre "Track star" Direll by a score of 23-18.

I haven't heard of him or seen him - but I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for him.

I hadn't heard of him until I wa researching the 2003 world championships online. I haven't seen him yet either but anyone that can beat those guys like he did should be respected.

he's also my hero because he beat Andre Direll. god I can't stand watching that guy fight. :rofl

:good Agreed - his performance against Curtis Stevens was one of the worst I've ever seen. Yes, he got the win and left the fight without being marked up. But the running, clowning, and showboating was too much.

I can't stand Andre Dirrell. I happen to think his brother is more impressive - let's hope he is healthy enough to continue his career one day.

Golovkin is still the better prospect to Lee because he has the better resume at this time...beating a shot Daniels by a KO of the year candidate don't mean anything when seeing the rest of Lee's competition...

Resume doesn't come into it quite yet -- both fighters are still learning, experimenting, coming into their own as a professional boxer rather than an amateur.

Here's to hoping they meet for a world title one day. :)

Duddy should finally sign to a big promoional outfit...but then again Manny as his manager won't advice him to/allow it.
For sure he needs better competition...

Yes I have been watching GG fight a lot on the quiet, he is a real rising star of the future.. Andy Is very good though, but he is plainly that just yet, good, not great....

Theres another guy I found Gaydarbek Gaydarbekov who beat Jermain Taylor (13-9), Jeff Lacy, and Gennady Golovkin (28-18).

Gaidarbekov hasnt turned pro,and will never turn pro.
Yep! He schooled Lacy in the American's last amateur fight-gave him a lesson in boxing.

As for the Golovkin he is off next's week show in Germany due to an illness.
So far he has been matched very toughly, and passed all tests quite successfully.
He has the tools to go very far.

golovkin is by far the best. lee cant hold a candle to him. all the other middleweights better pray that golovkin has some kind of accident.

otherwise he will kick their ass real, real soon....
