How many rematches did JC fight in if any?
JC himself says he doesn't like rematches. Why?
I raise the question because there seems to be a general agreement
on this board that JC is awkward in his boxing style. And that combined
with his huge output and tricks and ring smartness makes him hard to fight.
What I'm aiming at is whether JC would be easier to fight the second time around, once opponents have deciphered his moving/hitting patterns. What do think?

I don't think he would be as easily beat the second time as most others because he is so imprevisible and versatile...

he's had no need cos he's always won convincingly.

So Peter, If I may ask, You think it's possible to adjust to JCs awkwardness?

You can always adjust to some extent, but whether that will be enough is another story.

That does not mean anything, you're talking as if he has had numerous hometown decisions when in fact he has only one slightly controversial win on his record and that was against Robin Reid years ago.
Even then, im sure the fight was in England meaning Reid was the hometown guy.
the veit rematch was forced.
veit was a mandatory first time around and was his mandatory second time around.
only reason the fight was made.
personally i thought calzaghe was very sharp and better second time around.
first fight he jumped on veit and the fight was over , second time he used speed of feet to close the gap,box and punch and generally not give the big man room and distance winning every round.
not easy to do v a 6.4 fighter at 168
