First of all, the Collazo fight doesn't hint out that Mayweather would blast Hatton. That was Hatton's first fight at the weight and he fought a big welterweight that was taller, younger, faster and southpaw.
Hatton didn't even have a lot of time to prepare for it, he was scheduled to fight Lazcano @ 140 until that didn't work out.
And ..do not..oh my god..do not say it'd look like Gatti vs Mayweather for crying out loud. :-(
Hatton is quicker, much stronger, has better footwork, better chin and is a overall better fighter than Gatti.
Besides all these advantages. Gatti tried to fuckin BOX with Floyd. Sounds like a greaaaaat gameplan doesn't it? I didn't think so either.
Hatton would NEVER try that. Hatton would do the right thing you're supposed to do against Floyd. Sort of what Castillo did but more intense. Hatton is a better pressure fighter than Castillo, he's a more "in your face" type fighter than Castillo is , he's also stronger, busier, quicker and a faster starter than Castillo.
And, I bet Hatton would give him more trouble than DLH did. And before you use your stupid "DLH is a better fighter than Hatton" logic. It doesn't work that way.
DLH was too clean a fighter. He never tried to rough Floyd up. He can never fight like Hatton..that's just not his style.
Hatton wouldn't care where he hit Floyd. He'd hit him in the hips, arms, shoulders, chest, solar plexus, ribs. EVERYWHERE he can hit. He'd also bull him around in the clinches, maul him, hold and hit, bump him with his shoulders.

Might have used a different thread title:D
But I do agree with you that MANY are trying to use Collazo as some basis for how PBF vs Hatton will play out.
THAT IS RIDICULOUS and WAY OFF BASE:good
Collazo is naturally bigger and is a SOUTHPAW!!!!!
Apparently, many dont understand the differences and underestimate the stylistic impact. It's apples and oranges from Collazo to Floyd.

You're calling people dumbass for not seeing things the way you're nuthugging ass sees it? :think
Why can't you see the reality that PBF is not the kind of fighter who can be bullied or rough up? The guy runs and moves so it's next to impossible for Hatton to hug him to submission.
Put that in your brain shithead . . . and remember who started this thrashing. :yep

Castillo roughed him up a fair amount in their first fight. And I am trying to be objective here, while I consider myself a huge Hatton fan. I think Floyd would win but when people say it'd be like Gatti vs Mayweather it just blows my mind.

The Collazo fight says ALOT about Hattons chances against Mayweather. If you've noticed... Hatton likes to fight boxers that stand in front of you and have little or no movement. Once he fought a slick fighter with movement and decent defense he was exposed for the limited skills that he has. And you can go and say that Hatton won but the majority of fans that seen the fight know that Collazo won that fight. And lets not try to make an argument that Hatton fights boxers that move or have good defense. Let me ask you this.. How is it that Hatton never faced Demarcus Corley who was pretty much the gatekeeper of the junior welterweight division for young and up and coming fighters to test their skills and see where they are at? Cotto fought Corley, Judah fought Corley, and Mayweather fought Corley.. Yet Hatton didnt. That just speaks for itself. And as for your "Hatton would never try to box Mayweather" statement.. Of course he wouldnt because he's a less then average boxer (in terms of skills). He comes forward with no defense. He grabs and also hits while holding. And your statement about Delahoya is right on the money.. Delahoya is a CLEAN fighter.. Unlike Hatton! At least you admit Hatton is a dirty fighter :good Floyd by Stoppage :rofl

you're a fucking idiot. you're always posting stupid shit anyway. I remember you saying Green would destroy Miranda and Miranda would beat Pavlik and both times you were dead wrong. :hi:
DLH tried to be too perfect against Floyd, like he always does and he paid for it. Hatton's style is a nightmare for Floyd.
Okay, well you say his fight showed his chances against Collazo. I can say the same about Castilo's first fight against Mayweather except that Hatton is better than Castillo.

*sigh* The problem is, you are right to say it is unfair to base how Floyd will do in the ring based on what Collazo did. You are wrong in your interpretation, however.
To compare Collazo's performance with a theoretical Floyd performance is misguided and unfair to Floyd. Floyd is a much better fighter. He throws more accurate and faster punches. He moves around better, and does a better job of fighting in the pocket.
The thing is, comparing Floyd to Collazo is an insult to Floyd Mayweather. Collazo is slick. Collazo is a good boxer.
But Floyd Mayweather is Floyd Mayweather.
