Ding got bailed out on his power in this fight. If Nwodo had any sense he could have moved and jabbed, then shot a combo at ding all night and easily pointed him.

Ding had a pretty poor work rate, looked gas as early as round 4

Nwodo was tough but had a glass jaw, if the guy could take a better punch and just keep moving like he had been, Ding was gone.

If I remember correctly he got right back up and appeared little more than stunned. Simply hitting the mat, regardless of the punch or the fighter, has no bearing on jaw assessment. Does N'dou have a china chin because Paulie decked him?

Really not worth analyzing further, but in a way this was Nwodo's best chance. His lateral movement confused the hell out of Darnell (I'm tired of typing Ding) in the middle rounds. When he wasn't popping off the jab, he was getting out of range with his back turned. It kind of blew me away that Wilson let him get away with that, but he was too gassed to cover the distance.

So when he was legitimately hurt in the eleventh, it made more sense to run than try to tie up and square himself. But once he got pinned to the ropes, he had nothing.

Hell of a finish, and brutal as it was, I agree with Bob Foster. Nwodo put up too good of a fight for the ref to stop it without giving him a chance.

You judge a guy's chin off one performance? Ding cracked him some good shots early and Nwodo stuck around. Don't underestimate the power in those shots. I'm not saying Ding is a favorite against the champs, but he can definitely punch, he obliterated Dale Brown and Kelvin Davis, and I think would give guys like Bell and Cunningham problems.
