Yea this wasnt his best fight, but the man put it together when the money was onthe line, thats what you want a great fighter to be able to do.

By the way, the way he finished the fight (not just the KO but the entire round) was awesome.

What impresses me even more than Ding's power is his finishing ability. The first time I saw him (against George Khalid Jones at 175) he was able to hurt Jones repeatedly, but just couldn't get the job done. Darnell has fixed some problems with his metabolism and has become a MUCH more skilled fighter now. When he gets his opponent hurt, it's all but over. Against Davis he kept on firing power shots for AGES before Davis finally crumbled. This KO was also a testament to his ability to finish off hurt prey.

Darnell would beat JMM in my opinion. I'd have to give Bell the edge because of styles, I'm afraid. Wilson-Haye is a toss-up and a potential FOTY candidate.

Realistically it would be absolutely hysterical if he cleaned out CW by beating Mormeck, Bell, Macaroni and then somehow got come from behind KO wins against people with styles advantages like Huck and Cunningham.

Not only would a great guy have a great career, but it'd just be funny to slap in everyone's face who think he is not of the elite level.

Ding does have a laundry list of issues in the ring, but I think he still has a great shot of beating the best in the division simply because Mormeck and Bell are very hittable... and if you get hit by Ding, it's all over motherfucker.:smoke

Yes, and you can't KO him, that Nwodo had several fans on ESB who told me that he was very fast and hit very hard, of course that win will be underrated now, but I felt that Nwodo was superior to Kelvin Davis and that Kelvin Davis is at least decent top 20 level, considering he gave Bell a life and death war.

Bell and Mormeck are overrated, Godfrey has a glass chin, Macaroni has a glass chin and a poor defence...

The only guys who should be big favourites are boxers like Cunningham and Huck, I'd take Ding over Tokarev also at this point.
