I have Pac above Hopkins and a good case could be made for Calzaghe to be ahead of him as well. But PBF is #1 hands down.

Current P4P? What are you referring to? Hopkins is NOT #2 in the world anymore, not close.

Why does Hopkins get such a free pass?????
He lost two in a row, to taylor, a guy that "got beat" by Wright, struggled with Ouma and Spinks and then got KTFO by Pavlik.
He then MOVES UP to his NATURAL WEIGHT, the weight he himself claims he should have ideally been fighting at his entire career and beats an over-the-hill 'never was' in Mason the dick Dixon and then makes Winky Wright come up 16lbs north of his natural weight and barely beats him. Here's a list of fighters I have above Hopkins currently
Pac
JMM
Cotto
Pavlik
Winky
PBF

Yes they are two of the most boring fighters, but I would put Winky above Floyd.

Floyd Mayweather is No. 1
Bernard is not even top 10. He hasn't been on a good run 2 defeats to Taylor, Beats Tarver and beats a fat Winky.
Imo he is not even the best at LHW. Dawson is and he isnt p4p.

You can make a case that Joe Calzaghe, Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto, and Juan Manuel Marquez are above Bernard Hopkins at this stage in his career.

They are undeed the two most intelligent boxers around and possibly able to control the course of the action against any other opponents available, I agree. But they are far from complete and advantaged in all departments - physical intensity, physical power, workrate and handspeed can be weapons they may not be able to deal with, and there comes along Miguel Cotto, Ricky Hatton, Andre Berto, Paul Williams, Juan Diaz, Joe Calzaghe, Chad Dawson and others... I feel that the next fighter to follow the B-Hop/PBF success formula "mind over matter" is definitely Juan Guzman.

They are the two most accomplished active fighters. The best boxers since 2000.
But I also have Pacman over Hopkins in P4P lists right now.

I wouldnt put him #2 anymore. I got PBf (obviously). 2) Cotto 3) Cal after he beat Kessler 4) Pavlik 5) Hopkins. A small Winky was nice but not impressive. He definantly gets put in the 3 spot if he can beat Cal which I seriously doubt.
I think Bhop can beat Kessler by frustrating him but I cant see how he can beat Calzaghe. After what I seen from Cal against Kessler I only think Bad Chad Dawson can beat him.

Israel Vasquez should be rated higher than Bore-Hop right now.The Executioner is in the past.

i see ur point, but you have to remember Hopkins is doing all this past 40 yrs old...do you think Taylor would've even lasted the distance with a prime Hopkins? fuck prime, Taylor wouldn't have lasted the distance with a 36 yr. old Hopkins...
but that being said i wouldn't put Hopkins at #2 p4p...

Hopkins age should be irrelevant in P4P rankings. Age for age rankings he might be number one, but P4P? Hell no.
I don't see what Hopkins has done as a light heavy (as that is now how he must be judged) that rates him so highly P4P.
I will say it in another thread. A huge number of people deride Taylor as being shit.
He beat Hopkins twice.
Hopkins has only fought twice since then, once against a disinterested, shit Tarver. Once against a fat light middleweight.
But he's #2 P4P??????
Give me a break.
